The service here is quite poor. The pharmacists or their assistants who deal directly with the public for pick-up of prescriptions are unfailingly polite, but that's where the professionalism ends. Telephone orders give dates and times by which a prescription will be ready...but often either it is not ready when promised (even with an extra day or two I wait beyond the time promised to pick up, so I can avoid this) or the drug itself is "not available at this pharmacy at this time."
For one example, I'm on Eliquis, a blood thinner meant to reduce the risk of clotting, or strokes from a clot that breaks loose. I showed up yesterday, one day after my refill was promised just to make sure, and was told that they were "out." They ask for your phone number when you make the order, ostensibly to allow them to call you when such things happen...but they very rarely call. Instead, in this case, the person behind the desk very politely refused to call around to other Bartells to confirm that any of them had this medicine, refused to provide me a few pills they had for "emergency supply" because those pills were twice the dose I was supposed to take (apparently not trusting I could cut those pills in half), and suggested I drive around town to different Bartells to see whether they had Eliquis.
That is awful service in my view, plain and simple. This sort of
thing happens far too often here. I'm looking for another pharmacist.

Wow - What a mess. I've been using this pharmacy for years prior to when the Bartells was sold. Post-sale, there is an issue nearly every time I need to fill a prescription for myself or my children. Whether the prescription is out of stock, they "haven't received" it from the doctor, or there's a line out the door, getting a prescription here is nothing short of painful. I also have heard the conversations with others in line and it seems like my issues aren't unique. Nearly everyone ends up in a conversation battling to get their prescription filled. I don't know if it's lack of education of the pharmacists or a terrible new software, but it is not working.
I've decided to switching pharmacies going forward. I tried to stick with Bartells, but I no longer feel that they are able to meet the very basic needs of our community.

One of the worst drug stores in Seattle. They mark up prices like crazy! It’s insane, they raise the price of soo much stuff just to profit more. And on top of that their shelves are almost completely empty! It’s so funny, looks like they’re going out of business or something, so the store looks shitty and they up charge everything they sell. Idk what’s wrong with Bartells but they seem to be one of the greediest cooperations, I’m sure their CEO is making bank, getting millions and millions while charging unreasonable prices for basic necessities. I hope they go out of business they don’t even pay their employees well

I’ve been trying to call them for days now. I want to transfer my prescription to a different location and after being on hold for an hour they hang up

Master class in BAD customer service! And that the 'owner' responds to each negative review like they care and want to know more is borderline offensive when you sort the reviews by date posted and see that nothing has changed. This was my first AND LAST visit to this location. Miserable employees serving unhappy customers. Upon second thought, using the word "serving," is too generous. Avoid!

They are not professionals who are working there .
Every time I go there need waiting at least 30 minutes even if I request a refill weeks ago.

It’s sad what’s happened to this local company. Avoid at all costs.

If you have a prescription here, do yourself a favor and move it anywhere. Ever since Rite Aid ruined Bartells by purchasing the company it's gone horribly down hill. Their automated system will call you and tell you that it's ready to pick up only to arrive and be told to wait 30 minutes. It's been over an hour and the women behind the counter keeps coming out to tell me it will be a few more minutes.

When I got my prescription at the Roosevelt bartells I used to get a certain quantity which is how my prescription was written by my doctor. My insurance hasn’t changed the only thing that changed is the bartells location. Now they tell me I can only get a lower dose and if I have a problem I need to call my insurance. We are at the mercy of these pharmacies which are obviously not there for the consumer. Another failure of the “American “ system to screw the ppl.
