This review is long overdue! To give some background, I definitely do not consider myself a "fitness person" and I have a hard time staying interested in one type of fitness for any period of time. For example, I'll get into running for a little and then will gradually get bored or phase out. Barre3 (at this studio in particular) has been the workout I've stuck to for the longest! The co-owners (Kimberly & Katie) are both very welcoming and will really make you feel like part of the community even if if you've just started coming to classes (front desk and other instructors are great too!) I think they knew my name by the 3rd or 4th class, which was impressive! The studio itself is clean and well-maintained. There are 2 rooms for classes vs. just one like at some studios. This is great because it means more class times! As far as the classes themselves, I love that they have the signature classes but now also strength and cardio to round things out. The signature classes start and end the same way each time but in between the moves/poses are different and each instructor has their unique style, so you never get bored or used to the same exercise. There are also many modifications that you can do if you have an injury or are a beginner, so definitely accessible to different ages/levels, etc. Definitely recommend! First class is free so definitely worth checking out :)

Long overdue review! I’ve been coming to Barre3 Ballard for over a year. It has been a transformative and healing experience for me. I’ve notoriously been unable to consistently workout because of an “all or nothing” mindset. Roller coasting from one “hot girl summer” to another. Barre3 Ballard has introduced a method of gentle but consistent exercise. I revel in their inclusive space with so many other dynamic bodies varying in different stages of their health journeys. Instructors celebrate modifications and body awareness in lieu of heaviness of weight or rep count. I feel cared for when asked about my injuries and provided special instructions for my needs. I’m praised for taking breaks and breathing intentionally. Not to mention, they really go out of their way to remember your name which is so sweet. Katie and Kimberly have cultivated a wonderful space. Shout out to the amazing front desk people and wonderful teachers.

I have been a member of Barre 3 Ballard since they opened in 2016. I took the community classes before they opened the studio and knew right away it was the perfect fit for me. The classes have helped to eliminate the back and hip issues I had with the well rounded classes that encourage you to listen to your body and adjust as needed.Barre3 is continually evolving and growing and has added new classes to challenge its members too.

The Barre3 Ballard studio is my favorite place in Seattle to work out. Co-owners Kimberly and Katie have done an exceptional job of creating a genuine sense of community.Whether you are in top shape or just getting started, the instructors make you feel comfortable. They pay close attention to each individual and provide modifications tailored to your specific needs, ensuring that you get the most out of every workout.I appreciate the variety within the classes. Each class has different music and a different routine. The studio is also great about evolving and is always adding new postures and periodically they test out new class formats, lengths, etc.

I always leave Barre3 Ballard feeling good. The instructors are welcoming and accessible for questions about how to modify the workout to what best supports you on any given day. They make the workout fun and effective and there’s no judgement if you are off a beat or need to take a break. They encourage you to be you, challenge your body and mind, and listen to what your body needs in the moment. I highly recommend giving this studio a try. I’d recommend a specific instructor but they are all great.

I have been a member of Barre3 Ballard since 2018. All my life I struggled to find a fitness regime or sport that would keep me engaged. I never enjoyed working out until I joined this studio. The classes offer a full body workout and I am happy to say I have never felt fitter and better in my life. My back pain has disappeared and I feel strong. Different instructors offer a different array of difficulty or intensity but all of them offer modifications throughout class. It’s also a very friendly environment with clients of all age ranges, body types and fitness goals. It feel very communal and positive. I am so glad I joined !

I've been coming here since 2018. I love this place. Work outs are as intense as you want them and the instructors are great, each with their own style. Katie F offers well rounded and grounded classes, Katie L takes a more physical therapy and strength building to her classes and I leave Kayla's classes dripping from the high intensity. Even better, is that no matter the instructor you have they all encourage modifications and making the workout what your body needs.

Love b3 Ballard!! I have been a member for several years since my US bestie dragged me to a class. I thought I wouldn’t like it but I fell in love. It is a great balanced workout that you can modify to need your body needs and has mindfulness incorporated. It’s an important part of my routine and helps me to stress less and maintain good mind & body wellness. <3 <3 <3

Love coming here for barre classes! They are listed on ClassPass which is great or you can do a trial period before signing up. The teachers are all very knowledgeable about doing poses correctly. I love how every class is different so you don't get bored. They are all challenging but you don't get super sore so you can still feel good the next day! I always get a good sweat and feel stretched out as well.
