Lots of books and magazines, well maintained facility, knowledgeable and friendly staff and an in store Starbucks makes it my most visited place around.

When I asked the staff where the book I was looking for was (I could see online that it was in stock, but I didn't know where it was on the shelves), they quickly found it for me. If it's in the mystery section, you can get away with it, but if it's in a special place like the popular or new book section, it's hard to find.
Also, Diapell notebooks, which are only available at Barnes & Noble, are great because they run well with fountain pens, the paper is thick, and there's no bleed-through even with fountain pens with sloppy ink. It's worth the slightly expensive price.
It's a store that has a lot of records, and you can't help but stay there for a long time.

Large selection of books. Lot of categories. I don't normally go to book stores, since I can pretty much purchase any book online, but what I witnessed here was that I could just walk around, pickup an interesting new book and just read a couple of pages. There are comfy chairs and it's nice being somewhere else instead of home on my phone or laptop shopping.
Prices aren't too bad, you'll find some books can be cheaper than Amazon!

Good sized store with lots of inventory. I go there every time I visit Seattle and leave with an armload of books. Staff are courteous and helpful.

I used to love this store but the cashier sucked and didn’t listen to anything i said. She typed in my phone number wrong and didn’t correct it and refused to retype it. I have a B&N membership but she was so frustrating to talk to that i didn’t even try to get the discount. My friend had a book she wanted but the back couple pages were folded in half and she refused to give a discount for it or bring a manager.
