As Avis President’s Club member, I rent 25+ cars a year from all over the west coast. This is the first franchise I have encountered that blatantly hands out keys to customers without cleaning the inside or outside of the car, refueling, or even knowing where the car is parked. I also have never seen any employee clean any cars despite cars getting returned on a minute basis.This franchise continues to get away without doing the bare minimum and the corporate needs to open an investigation into their practices and hopefully closing them or changing owners to the benefit of consumers.

I have rented from this location a number of times and find their team to be friendly and capable. It’s a small operation so don’t expect airport style pick up. They don’t have a ton of cars and sometimes they aren’t spotless - but the convenience of having this downtown location outweighs that. AVIS corporate appears to allow over-booking of cars (since there are a lot of no-shows) - so there is a chance they run out of cars. Occasionally the lines are long (especially during cruise season) so please pack your patience, the team behind the counter are doing the best they can. I’ve gotten the hang of their garage and drop off protocols. It’s a bit wonky but it works if you follow their directions.

I booked a small car at this location for one day rental before heading to the airport. I was offered a mini Van at the time I picked up the car. Although the rental office is bit small , but the location was great ! KK is the staff helping me picking up the car, he is really patient and explain to me how to find my way out of the plaza. Really recommend

Been a returning customer for while. Last time though, rented a car, returned it with no issues.Almost a month later, got a $400+ bill claiming Tire damage!!!Email the address in the letter for photo evidence, and they responded with a wordy letter that I didn't select coverage. But still didn't provide any evidence.They making it difficult to dispute the claim.Will suggest renting from a different company.

The owner of this location and related staff are extremely unprofessional. I was attempted to be placed in a vehicle that was extremely smokey with stale marijuana oder. The employee asked me to verify what he smelled, too. Then, I was kept waiting in a hot underground garage waiting to see where I would then be placed. When I informed them I was going to be late based on this, and the fact the vehicle should have been checked prior, I was yelled at from a worker, and then the owner, as well - when placed into another vehicle after some time - that one was not adequately cleaned. I made a comment - was told by the owner I could leave his garage if I didn’t care for it, and had unreasonable expectations that a car should be cleaned properly. I have never experienced such rude behavior from a professional company!

Very busy little rental shop with consistent lines out the door, but always very helpful employees. Pretty decent selection of vehicles even during high demand periods, and they’re willing to swap out nicer cars pretty quickly when your preferred ride isn’t available and no additional cost.

Booked 3 weeks in advance and was told on the day that there will be no cars available. FIFTEEN customers are in line before me, most of whom are not getting cars before the office closes! If you cannot provide a car, please do not pull this scummy tactic on your customers and leave them stranded last minute. I will be missing an important conference because of Avis, and all they offered was to cancel my reservation for me. This is absolutely unacceptable. Will not be booking with Avis ever again and I suggest no one else does either.

This is by far the best Avis location I've been to. I can leave with a perfectly clean and well maintained car in less than 5 minutes. Paul is great and super friendly. If you are in using Avis in Seattle, I'd highly recommend this location. I've been to others and they take longer than 30 mins to get a car.

Condescending, badmouths corporate discounts and threatening experience !!!I had a reservation and went ahead to pickup the car. I requested to drop off the car late in the night at their drop off location and then give keys in the morning (downtown parking is expensive). The response I could have got is no, while the owner guy condescends me and asks as to why I do not know as they have displayed in front of the door. Not everyone scans the whole door full of fliers before entering. Condescending attitude begins.Then another representative assists me and I ask if I could shorten the rental by dropping off car early. Again the answer could have been no. The owner guy chimes in saying how his business is going away because of corporate discounts and for such requests. He badmouths the corporate discounts and says if not for discounts the rental rates would be much higher. I had rented previously like a couple of weeks before and that time shortening the rental worked. Wondering what suddenly changed. But good customer experience was not even in the picture.Later when I go to pickup in the parking lot, the representative who asssisted had forgotten to give me the parking slip to exit the parking lot. I had to come once again to the front office. Later the slip they gave didn't allow me to exit. So one more back and forth. Then they send a guy (assistant) who kept complaining that I used wrong exit lane among the two exit lanes. I asked him as to why can't they convey this info while giving the keys. He gets riled up for no reason and starts cursing. He was impatient and rude that he walked me directly to the exit of the parking lot and didn't even ask me where the car was. The car was parked 3 floors away and I had to walk back. Trust me the parking lot is confusing with many floors and doesn't have access to the lift for all the floors. He shouts at me and even steps forward to curse me aggresively. I exited the parking lot with disappointment , feeling threatened and an awful start for the day. One of the most horrible experiences at Avis.You may not have the same kind of experience when you rent. But if they commit a mistake, they will never acknowledge.

Someone is using my phone number and my last name as their first name to rent cars with Avis. It’s happened more than once. I keep getting texts from Avis as a result. Each time I call and inform them I have no idea who this person is and if they’re using a fake name and phone number they’re likely using stolen payment information as well, let alone whatever it is they keep using the cars for. Each time I call they seem less than concerned about finding out who this person is or doing more to verify their identity. They said most they can do is remove my phone number from the rental information. Which is better than nothing I was just surprised as a company they weren’t worried about why someone might use fraudulent info to rent a car. Case ID: 54534282 in case anyone from the company sees this and is actually interested in finding out what’s going on.

I specifically asked the guy at the front desk about the mileage and he told me it was unlimited.I should'nt have trusted him, now I noticed on the receipt that they actually counted 0,35$ per mileAnd I had to pay a huge amount..... Plus insurances that he made me take etc...Quelle arnaqueUsually I rent with Enterprise and this never happened. I guess I won't use Avis anymore

This location is nothing short of exceptional, and I attribute much of its success to the leadership of the fantastic Paul, who is always ready to go the extra mile to ensure his customers have an amazing experience. I've had the pleasure of renting from this Avis location on multiple occasions, and I can confidently say that every experience has been superb. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with a warm welcome and made to feel right at home. The staff are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to answer any questions I might have. What sets Paul and his team apart, however, is the level of customer service they provide. Paul is incredibly helpful and accommodating, and I've witnessed him go above and beyond for his customers time and time again. For example, during my last rental, I had a minor issue with the car tires and Paul immediately took care of the problem and made sure I was back on the road in no time with a brand new car. His attention to detail and dedication to his customers are truly remarkable. Additionally, the cars at this Avis location are always in tip-top shape, and I appreciate the variety of options available. Whether I'm in need of a small, fuel-efficient car for a day of city exploration or a larger vehicle for a longer road trip, Avis at KOMO Plaza has something to meet all needs. The location of this Avis is also a huge plus. It's conveniently located right next to the iconic Space Needle, making it easy to access for tourists and locals alike. The check-in and drop-off process is a breeze, and the staff are always efficient and organized. In summary, I cannot recommend Avis at KOMO Plaza highly enough. The team, led by the fantastic Paul, is committed to providing excellent customer service and high-quality cars in an unbeatable location. Every rental experience I've had has been fantastic, and I will continue to choose Avis at KOMO Plaza for all of my rental needs in Seattle. The front desk guy is very unhelpful. He did not let my husband rent a car using my corporate discount code because we don’t have the same last names (yay patriarchy) when we had already made the booking online. He asked me to come there to sign off on it. I went there with my corporate badge and documents to prove that he’s my husband, but he still didn’t let me use my corporate discount just because I don’t have a permanent drivers license (I have a learners permit). We have never had this issue with any other Avis in Seattle or any other city. Spent $30 in cab fare for this nonsense. We’ve had another issue here in the past when they refused to even speak to us because we were 10 minutes late to pickup the rental.

100% yes! I had been having a tire pressure issue with my rental and needed immediate assistance. I am so glad I stopped by this AVIS because I have never been helped so well by a rental car store. The gentleman behind the counter stated they dont have a mechanic there, but he went out to check my tire with me. He said the gas station nearby has air for free and helped me backup to use a side entrance to it. Then! He even walked over to help as I was arriving to use the pump. Incredibly kind, never condescending and super helpful.
