October 2024 by NANCY NIESEL
My name is Nancy Niesel and I want to let you know I had the best experience yesterday with your salesman Sean . He tried so hard to find the part for my toilet without any luck and he told me if I called the company they may send it to me sooner than he thought he could receive. I had to call twice as the first time after waiting 8 minutes I was disconnected and then when I called the second time after 15 minutes they were able to tell me they would overnite the part. I did purchase your sewer cleaning by his recommendation and am very pleased with the product. Thanks for everything. Sean is a great employee to have and hope you appreciate him as I did for his service. Nancy

Long story--short, I am extremely grateful to Aurora Plumbing (and especially to Spencer) for saving me a bunch of money and a bunch of time! Every employee I saw there was not only a plumbing expert, they were all patient, kind and helpful.
Long story, I went to Aurora Plumbing for the first time after destroying the insides of my extra tall sink faucet.
If I could find one, I was prepared to pay hundreds of dollars for an entirely new faucet. Or, ouch(!) hundreds more to have a plumber visit.
At two big-box DIY stores, it took me 15 minutes each to even find someone with a bit of plumbing experience. No plumbers. Just retail experience.
At Aurora Plumbing, Spencer saw what I had destroyed, went to the back, literally dug and yanked the old unit out, replaced and tested it! He charged me $20 for the part.
Forgetting how I had taken the whole thing apart, he then showed me how to reassemble it, saw I was missing another part, got a kit to replace it. And then did the whole reassembly for me. I paid $40 in parts. That's it! $40 bucks!
Aurora Plumbing was the best DIY help I have ever gotten anywhere in 10+ years of DIY'ing. While I was at the counter, I watched three other employees offer the same level of service and expertise. Pro plumbers were going to Aurora Plumbing too.
Thank you, Aurora Plumbing. Thank you Spencer for your amazing help and kindness. And saving me a bunch of time and money. A big bunch.

Have an old house with old plumbing and fixtures and Aurora Plumbing Supply has saved our bacon a few times over the years. Today I went in looking for a replacement stem and handle assembly for a hose bib because I needed to replace the packing but had been unable to remove the bolt holding the handle in place. I wish I'd gotten the name of the very friendly guy who helped me because he said, 'Well, I could just get the screw off for you' - which, after about 10 minutes work with a torch, he did. Then put on two new washers and a new handle and I was out of there for about 10 bucks. No charge for the labor. Great place, nice guy!

I always appreciate the patience and how thorough the counter help is when I visit Aurora Plumbing. They take time to demonstrate and explain parts and procedures to help make the project come together. They sell you what you need and don't try to upsell. It helps to take photos so they can diagnose your needs correctly. Joel was great!

I recently purchased a Kohler toilette with a bidet seat which was a special order because I wanted an Ice Gray color, however, that took more than 7 weeks, so I cancelled the special color and purchased a white one that they had in stock and the bidet seat would fit on it. I scheduled an appointment to install with them which was done soon after. The installment went quick and clean.
The problem, however, was the timing. The plumber, who did not introduced himself upon arrival, arrived 11 minutes after the hour and was done 10 minutes after another hour. He left to write the invoice and came back about 5 minutes later. I was charged another 15 minutes,($90.00) plus tax for a total install of $504.00.
When I complained I was told that he left 8 minutes later, in other words, " Sorry " that's the way it goes.I have been patronizing this company for many years and I do not think of recommending them again.

This may be a bit long but worth the read. In early January I called Aurora Plumbing to look at a possible reline of my sewer line. In talking to Aurora they turned me over to PRiCOR. Aurora does not do the reline so they turn you over to PRiCOR for a finders fee. I have zero problem with that, makes sense. In talking to Aurora they made if VERY, VERY clear that there would be no charge for PRiCOR to come out and scope my sewer line. I was told, “Even if you do not purchase a reline there will be no charge.” They would come out, scope with a camera and provide a quote. Everybody is a happy and smiling……….not for long.
Here's where things get shady. PRiCOR shows up at my rental property on January 4, 2024, mind you the house is in complete remodel condition. I was asked if there was a cleanout to which I said not to my knowledge. They would have to remove the toilet and place the camera down the 4 inch sewer line. Sean the “technician” said and I quote, “if we have to do work it is $399.” I foolishly agreed thinking I would deal with it later. It was crunch time and I needed a status on my sewer line. I was in the middle of working all day and had my defenses down. I needed the camera scope. What I should have done it showed them the door. Better yet, I should have removed the toilet in 2 minutes and saved myself $439. What a scam.
I eventually got hold of Wiley Cortez who is co-founder of PRiCOR. He was determined on keeping my $439 since I agreed to pay at the time. Literally 2 minuets to remove the toilet and another two to put back……$439. To make things more enjoyable, after the toilet was put back it leaked and I had to shut the water supply valve off.
In summary, think first before you engage with these two companies. Ask questions. Do not get caught like I did. Granted, I agreed to the charge when they came onsite but that does not negate the fact I was told one thing by Aurora and PRiCOR kept my money for what was supposed to be zero charge. I do not like getting taken advantage of, not a good feeling.
In the end I am much better off, I dodged a very expensive bullet. As opposed to relining only 50 feet of old terracotta pipe quoted $12,295 by PRiCOR, I replaced all 120 feet of old pipe with new PVC pipe for a ton less.
I now have a forever solution as opposed to a 10 year warranty on the C.I.P.P. (Cured in place pipe) only. What do you think is the better value now or and when it comes time to sell?

Aurora plumbing has the best parts dept anywhere. They not only sell the parts, but they help you figure out what you need, what the problem may be, and give you advice if you want to do it yourself. Every single person in the parts dept is truly helpful and knowledgeable. Thanks guys!

Lovely showroom. Beautiful displays with clean professional backdrops. Strange customer service. I walked in today unaware of the time. My fault. It was almost time to close. A customer was ahead of me being helped. I wandered around. Then, a gentleman waked passed me, half locked the doors and turned off the light above my head. Traditionally a customer is asked if they have been helped first, and politely told the business is closing. I was a bit startled. He was kind enough to finally address me and I told him unfortunately I work the hours they are open. I don't think they meant to be so awkward when I was informed my needs could be met by email, and he did give me a card. To my embarrassment the feeling I was left with was "If we don't see you or verbally talk to you we would love to help you.". Disappointing considering we live by Carkeek and need a bathroom remodel this summer. I want to support local, but do not want to feel like an unwanted pest not worth greeting. I should have checked the hours and gone somewhere else more compatible with my work. My mistake.

The staff just want you to be wrong and have massive egos. They will punish you with attitude even when you're right! If you can, take your business elsewhere and avoid their blatantly crazy mark ups which was 28% on the product I bought! Plan ahead and buy online.

This place is just absolutely Amazing! The team working here goes above and beyond every time I take on a DIY project. Great stock of often hard-to-find parts that the big stores don't carry. I had an old Kohler shower faucet replacement project and three of the guys there helped me beyond what I would expect. Incredible customer service always!! Thank you!

TLDR: Don't go if you want a helpful staff member who is genuinely interested in you or your project. Do go if you're a professional plumber who does not need any customer service and want to pay a premium.
I usually try to patronize local businesses instead of Amazon or big box stores, even if it's more expensive, because I think it's important to keep small businesses alive.
I had just bought a toilet seat with a potty-training seat attached for my son who is learning to use the toilet but needed specialty screws to install it on a skirted toilet. I called Aurora Plumbing and they said they carried them, so I went in.
Like others have experienced, I was treated like an idiot by the guy working the counter. When he asked about a name for the invoice, I gave him my name but offered "I don't need an invoice, unless you need to create one." He responded dripping with sarcasm "Uh, yeah... we have to keep track of our sales," as if I had suggested they didn't need any type of inventory management versus just saying I didn't need a receipt.
I thought maybe it was just me, but he ignored a couple questions I asked about using this type of screw, so I pointedly asked, "Are there instructions in the package?" He responded with so much annoyance in his tone "If you want me to google it for you and print it out, I will."
"Um, thanks, I can google it myself," I said, and left.
There are instructions with the screws, but I am having a hard time installing them as the rubber part doesn't hold the screw tightly and the toilet seat slides all over. Really wish I had gotten to talk to a helpful plumber at the plumbing store!
