If you love rocks, and semi-precious gems, and fossils, then this is a fun stop. The prices all seemed reasonable to me. We got several gifts.

Store is very intricate. Unfortunately the owner and dog are extremely unfriendly ( tried to attack our dog simply passing by). I can’t recommend supporting this business sadly for that reason.

Customer service was fantastic! Lots of cute rocks for a great price! I got to scavenge in the $1 box or $25/lb.

Pieces are all unique, reasonably priced, and well maintained. The shop owner is very knowledgeable and compassionate. We love the shop dog too; quite shy but very sweet and makes the enviorment even more welcoming. This is a perfect place to get a unique gift for someone important to you.

Owner seemed genuinely upset when we walked in, which is unfortunate because we loved the shop itself and had anticipated spending some good money for Christmas. (I really wanted that Chess set!) He was probably having a bad day. Luckily we know other rock shops in the Seattle area that are a-lot friendlier.

Recently transplanted from their bustling Seattle location, Agate Design is cozily nestled inside Gilman Village, a new addition to the myriad shops already established. I love this shop! Mark and his nephew are both wonderful to work with. I’ve come back multiple times, and brought with me a new client every visit. Each piece has such detail and quality, that I buy a new item every time to add to my growing collection.Everyone here, including Carl, does wonderful work.Give them a visit!

I don't know what some of the reviews are talking about regarding the clerk. Maybe we dealt with different people! My experience was great. The guy was super nice, and even had his cute dog with him. Nice selection with good prices. I got a raw smokey quartz point, a carnelian tumble, and 2 other tumbles for about $8. What a deal. I wish I could have bought more, but I was just visiting and didn't have space! I would love to come back
