Ada's I love you but please make your breakfast sandwich less vertical!!!! It's delicious but I need to unhinge my jaw to eat it, and it becomes very messy.

They may tell you to leave because of event. They should mention that before you make the order.

This shop is pure magic. Like, I walked in and the curation of books was everything I ever wanted to read. Found myself overwhelmed at times at just how much I wanted to pick up and delve into, knowing I can only go one book at a time! And there was such a genuine community feel in the air. Even for into an impromptu deep philosophical convo with one of the staff members. Love this place!

In this decade, a good bookstore is known for it's curated book selection. It tells you who they are. The character of this place is unimpeachable. It's clever, it's classy, it's like hanging out in the home of your smartest friend who always has something new to show you. Except my smartest friend was never so tidy. The staff is diverse, friendly, and charming. Tip them well please. The book selection ranges from graphic novels to technical manuals about obscure programming languages. There are some comfortable tables with clever contents in their shadow-box-table-tops. Have you ever seen a table light up when you put your bag on it? Have you ever seen a hundred compasses go crazy when your phone vibrates? There's supposed to be an office loft, but I haven't found it yet.I hesitate to mention that there's an attached bar with regular social gatherings. Look, it's a super nice spot and I don't want it to get too crowded, okay? Try and and keep it a secret ?.

Loved this place! Super yummy and the atmosphere was incredible. We got the Ra Ra Ras-poutine and the 1-up mushroom toast. The poutine was incredible. Not traditional poutine but tasty non the less. They also pay their employees a liveable wage and don't allow tips which I thought was incredible. Will definitely be coming back on my next trip!

Beautiful merging of bookstore and cafe. Great to peruse for a bit, and also a fantastic atmosphere to sit and work with a coffee and snack.

I've been going to Ada's on and off for years. Recently started stopping by regularly and attending their monthly game nights in the Lab.Their staff is so sweet and welcoming, and the whole place feels very comfy and queer-friendly/safe.They have great summer drinks and seasonal pastries right now. Low-key in love with their newest one, the raspberry croissant. It's the closest thing I've found to a decent raspberry cronut since leaving San Francisco ?

Ada's offers a small selection of high quality loose teas. They're mindful of appropriate water temperatures and steeping times. If you order a pot, they'll gladly offer a second infusion. I particularly enjoyed their Kodama Sencha, which has melon notes. Their seating can be suitable for reading while sipping; however, you may find that nearby conversations or their music with vocals to be distracting depending on the nature of your reading material.

One of my favorite places in Seattle. Great coffee and an amazing selection of books. You can spend the entire day reading, sipping on coffee and enjoying some delicious baked goods.

The Book Subscription service at Ada’s needs some work. I really enjoy the warm ambiance and book selection at this bookstore, so much so that I got a non-fiction book subscription through Ada's Technical Books as gift for my Husband's birthday in April. However, the process has been really frustrating. I chose to pick up at Ada's since I'm local and have not heard any communication an over a month. I stopped by in-person and have called twice to no avail. When I went in person the staff member said they didn't know what the process was and asked me to come back later with no follow up. There's no email to reach out to and I checked the website, email, spam folder for updates. I'm really bummed out with the subscription service and the effort it's taken to get my husband his birthday gift and I still haven't gotten information on how receive the book I ordered.

Listen, I normally hate vegan breakfast burritos - the tofu scramble is usually gross and there are always slimy mushrooms. But not here!! Ada’s has the only breakfast burrito I have ever enjoyed. I haven’t tried their other vegan options, but it’s typical breakfast/light lunch fare, plus a pastry or two. Obviously as a vegetarian cafe, they have a few more vegetarian options.
The coffee drinks I’ve had here were also pretty good - they have non-caffeinated drink specials too.
My only qualm is that it’s usually pretty busy during the first half of the day, so sometimes I end up not being able to get a spot to enjoy my drink. Also, as another reviewer noted, I wish the barista who I usually order from would be a little more friendly… I know I’m not personally tipping them (they include tip in the price of the items) but c’mon sometimes they make me feel like I shouldn’t be there lol.
