Almost every time after I bring my car in for some kind of repair, I end up going in 2-3 more times afterwards to have more issues fixed. Whatever the initial repair intended to do, seems to trigger more issues.
The most recent example. On 10/22, I had full oil change, bumper to bumper inspection, radiator hose replacement, front brake pads/rotors, brake system flush, drive belt replacement, automatic transmission flush service.
Only days after, the engine light was on, my husband brought in the car again and was told there might be the mass airflow sensor leak and if it happens again change the mass air flow sensor.
The engine light was back on shortly after the second trip to the garage. Just yesterday I brought in the car again for the third time. The employee at the counter firmly told me to change the mass air flow sensor was the only thing I needed for my car, even though I asked him to run a diagnosis again. Ok, I had the sensor changed. Today, the engine light is back on again.
This is not the first time I have to keep going back after some parts are replaced.
In addition, this particular employee has been the most patronizing, arrogant, passive-aggressive, and belittling person who has ever worked in the garage. I have been going there for 15 years. Like yesterday, I asked him if we should run a diagnosis first he wouldn't even listen to it as it's on my record the whole issue should be because of the mass air flow sensor. I then said I spent a lot of money for the last repair but I had to keep bringing the car. back. He said they would do a warranty check, FOR FREE, he emphasized. I am sure he won't and can't give me anything for free if he is not allowed to do so. So I don't owe him anything and he is not giving me anything for free. So take that freaking smirking smile off your freaking face! I then asked "what do you do (for free warranty recheck)?" Instead of giving me facts to answer the question, he said: "two hours labor!" Again, smirking smile. I am sure he wanted to say two hours free labor! I repeated my question, "what do you do?" He looked really baffled and had no answer. His coworker came over and used a few simple words to explain to me what they do in warranty-recheck, clear and easy to understand. This is also not the first time the unpleasant conversation happened with this particular employee.
Clearly, my rating is low for this business.

Kai and Dylan are professional, experienced, and give your car a great check up. They don’t recommend things that aren’t necessary and their prices are reasonable. Plus they’re really nice and very friendly. I’ve been going there for 20+ years and I Highly recommend them.

I can do quite a bit of maintenance and repair work by myself but for repairs that I know are either too complicated or too time consuming, I know I can always trust 34th St Garage to meet or exceed my exceptionally high standards.

The 34 th st garage has worked on my car for years. They are masters mechanics. Always go extra to make sure everything is in working order. Fair price and will answer questions.

I could not be more pleased with the level of customer service and care that I got from the staff at 34th St. garage. They were able to squeeze me into a very busy day with my flat tire. I was visiting from out of town and just have to say how thrilled I was with the level of service! I would highly recommend them for anything, thanks again guys !

My experience was excellent! The customer service, both over the phone and in person, was outstanding. They took the time to explain everything before starting the work and were never pushy. Very professional throughout. Overall, I highly recommend them!

Almost got ripped off.
I brought my car a year ago, and Dylan recommended a bunch of unnecessary services. He quoted me over $2300 for four new tires, but I ended up getting the exact same set for $1400 at Discount Tire, lol.
When I told him I wouldn’t be getting the service done there, he said I had to pick up my car that same day or they’d charge a $50 per day holding fee. Not even a grace period for one day.
The funny part is, when I checked in at the front desk, another staff besides him noticed the overcharge and called Dylan out on it. Shout out to that staff, though I don’t know his name. At least someone there was being honest.
I’ve been here a few times, but after that experience, I won’t be coming back. I believe customers deserve fair pricing and honest service recommendations.

The service at 34th Street Garage is efficient, professional and friendly. Everyone who works there enquires right away if you have been helped. Excellent explanations for what your vehicle needs right away and what can be done at the next service date. Very knowledgeable on all things mechanical for my brand of car.
