I made a mistake of using Safeway restroom and the smell is going to haunt for days.. Now I can smell the filth even when I encounter the Safeway logo.
Exotic fruit collection was good, did not buy as the fruits did not look fresh enough. It maybe just me as I don’t know how to pick a fresh exotic fruit.

Horrible customer service at the deli today stood there for 20 minutes waiting to be helped and then had to walk over to a different lady at the deli and asked if someone could help me and all she said was the lady went to lunch this is not the first time this has happened

The manager here is very nice. Very helpful employees. Deli is clean!!! Safeway doesn't sell enough dairy free stuff for me, other than that, this one's great! I shop here often.

My favorite Safeway.It has everything and employees are very polite.It has a bakery, lottery, medicines, vegetables area, Starbucks, etc.Our weekly groceries run on this place.

They sell FAKE gift cards!!!! Do not ever buy gift cards from them. I bought a bad $100 Apple gift card from them, which does not work, and they just refused to take responsibility for it.

Update on 12/16:Visited again as I’ve been out of town for weeks. Got warm welcome/goodbye from staff. Well, I’d say I still love this place.Update as of 11/26:Got a speedy response from owner, bumping up stars to 3 for now. This complaint is being heard , which is good, and I hope it’ll actually make a difference. Will check back later.Initial review from 11/22:Been living here for a year, liked this place.But today had very unpleasant experience with a staff member at register.The guy is being lazy and trying to push me through self checkout as there’s a long line and I got “2 items only”.Clearly he’s not aware that gift cards can’t go self checkout, in return he gave big eye rolling, huh.I didn’t notice his name tag but got a cashier name in the printed receipt. PATRICK, you have a lot to learn about your job, even more about manners.Timestamp is on the receipt here.

They sell FAKE gift cards!!! Do not buy any gift card from safeway, I bought $100 Apple gift card from them, which is invalid. They are not even take responsibility for it. Once it is sold, it is all done from them. Attitude is also very terrible when I ask how to solve the problem.

Drive up and go is just terrible… this is my 2nd time and they never have orders ready at my chosen time and I’m always waiting in my car for at least 15 min! I do not recommend using their service.

I went there two days ago to check out egg free baked goods. I asked the cake decorator (the person other staff members directed me to) to ask this question. When I went there and asked if they had any egg free cake, she said she only has one in the freezer across the section. I said if that is a whole cake or a piece and she said it’s all there I can look. Till then it was okay, but then I asked if they have something other than cake that’s egg free, she said the cake is there and I should look at it. I specifically asked her that yes, I understand but I’m asking something other than cake, like a cookie, or a scone, or a pie, and she almost yelled at me saying “there is vegan cake there just go and see” and never answered any question. She was so upset and angry. Terrible customer service.

It's a Safeway. Go there to get groceries and avoid the bathroom. Higher prices due to "inflation" but really it's just another cartel taking profits for themselves and screwing over customers and employees.

The Water Jug refill machine has been broken for almost the whole summer. Seems like they’d rather have us buy their water bottles and further contribute to global warming, than get it fixed.
