It’s the one spot in Ridgefield I hate to go. I have absolutely never seen such rude women working the front counter. I’ve been in twice in 6 days and I just can’t grasp why so rude to me and others in line.

To be honest- I love Ridgefield ❤️ but moving here I also brought my online business with me- and my relationship with the post office is super important. From day one- this locations staff has been so dismissive towards me- giving nothing but attitude towards our business. Is the business of shipping packages supposed to be such a bother?? We schedule 90% of all our package pick ups- but sometimes have to drop packages off. From day one we asked the workers how they would like us to drop them- at our previous city we would drop
Off in the back- the workers seem to be “put out” by any customer- especially ones who ship frequently. We were told to bring them in and set them on the counter. We feel every time we walk in “judged”. Why is the rest of Ridgefield so dang sweet- but the post office is filled with grumpy ladies who hate their job. Plug. Costco is hiring. You only have one chance to live this life- do what you LOVE- my online business brings me SO MUCH JOY and it’s obvious you don’t find JOY in your career. Find joy before it’s to late.

The previous reviews are accurate. Very rude workers who respond antagonistically to all requests and questions. Customer service is nonexistent.

Got a package that required signature sent to me. Was left a note about a delivery attempt in my mailbox by my carrier even though I was home all day. Followed the instructions on the back to go online and rescheduled my delivery for the next day, but no attempt was made. Then I completed the form on the back of the note that was left in my mailbox to request redelivery and returned it to my mailbox. It sat at the front of my mailbox for 4 days and the carrier even put new mail on top of it but did not take it or redeliver my package. I guess I have to go to the post office to pick up my package.Edit: Literally the day after I removed my completed redelivery form from my mailbox (to take it to the post office), the carrier left a new one in my mailbox as my final notice. I was unable to reschedule online because the website said I had a redelivery in progress from my first attempt at a reschedule. When I tried to edit that redelivery, I was given an error with my request and that I'd need to make a new one. But attempting to do so gave me an error that there was already a redelivery request open. I wound up in this loop of failure.Anyway, I grabbed both notes that the carrier had left me and went to the physical post office and picked up my parcel. The person behind the counter was friendly, and I explained to them what I did to try to get a redelivery. They told me I did everything right and that they'd talk to their supervisor about my experience. I really appreciate their understanding and assistance at the physical post office in Ridgefield and have adjusted my rating to reflect the kindness and professionalism of the staff member I interacted with face-to-face today. Still disappointed with the carrier but hopeful that they will be given feedback that results in them doing their job correctly and not wasting my time.

Anyone who left a 3+ star review must be super lucky or caught the post office people on a good day because everytime I have to deal with them it’s a nightmare. Mail carriers are 50/50 with correctly delivering mail. The office itself has terrible service. Rude over the phone, rude in person, completely unhelpful staff, no one answers the phone, misinformation given, slow service, and so on. The bar isn’t set too high here. Good luck.

This post office has lost numerous packages for us. In most cases the vendor will not perform a refund as the post office says they delivered it. Our postal carrier is terrible and when you talk to the post office about it, they don’t even care terrible business terrible service.

The mail person put my package that I bought in someone else mail box. It has been stolen. I have called for help and they are no help at all. I am out almost $100.

For a city who requires the post office’s downtown residents to have a post office box you might think that they could actually have a chart converting a street address to the poor sucker that has a P.O. Box without choice. They can find you when you need to pay your bill but not if you have a package come in addressed to your house number. My last package was tracked across country but gets to Ridgefield and is considered undeliverable!!!! No choice! Your package has been returned and oh by the way I can see your post office from my house! How long will the downtown resident have to be ripped off for mail service? If you don’t pay your box fee they’ll lock your box. No choice in the matter of United States mail! Call city hall? Only to get dirty looks from those who work there. Absolutely crazy!!! I should be the one casting dirty looks. Next time just go outside and yell for me and I’ll come get my stuff!!!

The abject incompetence of this place is shocking. I couldn't count how many pieces of mail that have been lost, delayed, or returned in 25 years of horrible service.

More lost mail to add to the list today. Somehow they manage to deliver PO Box rental notices. I just got one, and it's over 200 bucks a year to have mail lost this professionally!

Have had important mail not delivered multiple occasions. One vendor sent me a check 3 times and I never received any of them. Now certified mail notices are not being left. Community mailbox has been left totally open multiple times.
