My partner and I purchased a car here ONLY because they had the car that we wanted. The experience we had during our 2 appointments here was less than impressive. We visited many dealerships in our car hunt and there were others that stood out for impeccable attention to detail, timeliness, and warm customer service that we would have MUCH rather given our business to. I will not waste my time detailing everything that should have been handled differently, but let's just say that our experience lacked all of the aforementioned things. If you want to take your business somewhere that you feel deserves it, go elsewhere.UPDATE in response the the Walker's reply on my review:I already called and gave detailed feedback to the GM, but if you would like all of the details here too I will do that. My boyfriend had been corresponding with Kemran about the car we wanted. We scheduled a test drive for it because we were told they had the exact model and color. We showed up at the time of our appointment with Kemran and were told Kemran didn't show up that day, and not only that, but the car we were there to see had sold the day prior. No communication was sent to us about this to give us the chance to cancel or reschedule our appointment. They were frazzled figuring out who would work with us and what car to show us. We ended up being assigned to work with Angelina, who was kind but heavy on the sales tactics. I work in tech sales and nobody likes feeling manipulated when in a sales interaction. They ended up having us test drive a SOLD car. They only let us go in a few block radius, but it shocked both of us. The ironic part is that when they were trying to get us to put a $2K deposit down to hold a dealership trade car Angie said "once you put a deposit down it won't be out on the lot to be touched and test drove by people, which you obviously wouldn't want!". As if we could trust that when we just test drove someone's sold car! We were lowballed on trade-in value for the car that we brought in -- quoted $4K when we sold it privately for over 2X that price the following week. Angelina had to run back and forth to the managers office about 9-10 times as we sat at her desk discussing other options to get the car we wanted. It was so absolutely bizarre that this young guy manager didn't just come out and talk to us himself instead of Angelina running back and forth numerous times to ask questions, run terms by him, etc.We ended up putting down the $2K deposit to get the car we wanted in a dealership trade and said we would return the next week once we had sold our current car as we only have one parking spot (we rejected their trade-in offer). That week, we called to inform that we had sold it and were ready to pick up our car. We had a 10am appt on a Saturday and were paying in cash for the car. Again, when we arrived they were not ready for us. Angie was with a different appointment and then she came and told us that the finance manager was not in yet. We waited about 40 minutes before we could meet with the finance manager to write him a check for the car. While we were waiting, we noticed what we thought was a scratch on the hood of our new car. Angie grabbed the manager to look at it and it turned out to be adhesive which needed to be scrubbed off. This is something that should have been caught before we showed up. Again, in ALL of this, the young man manager never once came over to thank us for our business or relay any info. It was all done through Angie being a messenger. Every single dealership we went to, the manager would come over and address any concerns 1:1 or chat with us and thank us for considering them. My partner and I both had a very bad impression of the way this manager handled things and would not interact with his customers. It came off extremely rude. He would walk right past us to go look at the car with Angie and never acknowledge us. Again, we got the car we wanted, but both of us looked at each other when we drove off the lot and said, we wish we could've

Purchased my first Subaru from this location and I regret it. The sales representative was fine, nothing special. Although, he no longer works there. It seems like the sales department has a high turnover rate. After settling on the price for my new car, I talked to their finance department to finalize the paperwork. One of the features I was convinced to add-on to my WRX was the vault security. The issue with the vault security on the WRX is it sets off the alarm if you autostart it from the Subaru app and the car shuts off before you're able to get in the car. I called and informed the service department & was told by the rep "I wish they wouldn't push these on the WRX because it's a known issue". The rep then told me he would contact me back about getting it removed but I never heard back from him.I eventually called the service department back and spoke to another rep and asked if the vault security could be removed altogether so I wouldn't have to deal with it. After some back and forth about who would be responsible for paying to have it removed I was told to bring in the car so they could "turn down the sensitivity" of the mic which would resolve the issue. It did not resolve the issue. This will be my 3rd trip there for the same issue and I've gotten no offer of compensation for the inconvenience. It doesn't seem like I'm going to get compensated for removing the vault security either because it was "free" but that just means it was included in the price we agreed on when I finalized paperwork. I wouldn't have agreed on that price at the time without the expectation of all these services included. Nothing is actually free.

I’m happy to say my first car purchase was here. Serene took great care of me from when I arrived till when I drove out the lot with my new Subaru. I got the help I needed and when I had questions Serene kindly told me the truth and held my hand through every step! I will definitely be coming back in the future. Also Serene’s name means peace;)

This is my go to for all my servicing. Make sure you make an appointment for your oil change, even if it says you don't. It is just easier. The customer service is nice and, if you wait for your car, they have coffee and popcorn.

First time car buyer from a dealership? Yeah same here. I went to a few local spots, it was painful. From being chained down to the chair to justify why I didn't wanna buy the car, to pressure, to endless calls and emails. Let's talk about the mass number of cars with electrical or serious mechanical problems too.My previous two cars were purchased privately from friends. Let me just say Walker's was sort of my last hope, after scrolling through 700 pages I saw they just got a Prius in, no photos even up yet. I called, talked to Brian and bought it by the end of the day. Brian was laid back, he wanted me to feel comfortable but didn't act like it would be the end of the world if I changed my mind. I really appreciate him and loved working with a true local. The car is essentially perfect, low miles, mechanical parts, struts, batteries you name it are in perfect condition. Added bonus that the previous owner installed some anti-theft shields.Buying a car is really, really hard. It's even harder if you lost your prior car to a hit & run, theft, etc. The team at Walkers made my first dealership buying experience a laid back one. I don't come from wealth so this really is the nicest car I've ever owned and I love it.I get mistaken for a 90 year old whipping this thing around but they can't really be hating when I'm pulling 51 mpg.

Horrible service department. Called ahead to get a quote for some repairs, price was reasonable so I scheduled a time to bring in my car. The lady on the phone told me the parts were 3-5 days out so they'd be ordered and there by my appointment. Said work would take 3 days.Brought the car to my appointment, they said no one had ordered the parts, they wouldn't even be able to look at my car for 1-2 weeks, much less start work. Would probably be able a month. Then requoted me over $1000 more than I was originally told, before they even looked at my car. What's the point of scheduling an appointment just to let my car sit there untouched for another two weeks?? Why was I given two completely different quotes for the same service?Disrespectful service. Obviously they do not value my time as a customer. I had to go out of my way to take my car here, set up a ride back home, just to be told everything I was told on the phone was a lie, turn around take my car home and then have to call around to other shops to set something else up. Complete waste of my time

How does a 120K check up for my 2016 Legacy go from a $1700 estimate to over $7000?!?! I was absolutely FLOORED. I should've listened to my gut and not gone back after they "forgot" to call me to let me know car was ready after having it for 2 days the last time I brought it in. Transmission was already replaced for $3K a few years ago. Is the car a POS or is the service dept lacking? Time to cut my losses

Cost to replace the rear wheel bearings + an oil change was 25% higher than the estimate I received. Customer service was lacking. I'd I like to give them a good review because we've had good experiences in the past, but this time I was very disappointed.

It was a smooth experience for us during a trying time of having to replace our stolen vehicle. Crista and team were extremely welcoming and by helping us in advance with getting paperwork sent over before us arriving this process was super quick. We were in and out in less than an hour. Thank you Crista and team for making this the best car buying experience we have ever had.

The car buying process here was fine. But their service department is awful. They charged us $150 to "diagnose" our tires that were losing air. The "diagnosis" was that we needed two new tires, shaving the other two tires, and alignment, so it would have been an additional $528. We took our car to Les Schwab (Les Schwab is awesome BTW). He looked at the tires and in 2 seconds said, you have a screw in each tire, you must have driven through a construction zone. They fixed them both absolutely free!We also needed our windshield replaced and the service center said it was out of stock and needed to be ordered. But they forgot the part about ordering it because we waited for a few months and still no windshield. So I called Safelight and they replaced our windshield the next day!! And they did a great job. I had called Walker Subaru several times. Funny that the service manager was always "out." And he must be on a permanent vacation because he never returned any of my calls.Save yourself a headache, go anywhere else to service your Subaru. Charging customers $150 to lie and say they needed new tires, when they absolutely didn't, is shameful. Our tires are fairly new and definitely didn't need replacing. Walker Renton Subaru: You can do better.

I worked with Jared Spencer to buy my new Subaru, it was an excellent experience all around. He was low pressure and we had a great time chatting and test driving vehicles. The buying process was also easy and transparent. I've sold cars myself and have met a lot of salesmen, Jared is one of the good ones.

I’ve been shopping for the right Subaru for months and have worked with many dealerships and sales people during that time. Crista is by far the nicest, most patient, well informed and very good with numbers. She laid out many good options for me to consider as we were unsure of how to best stay in our budget. Walkers Renton Subaru seems great - but these 5 stars go to Crista. If you need someone who you can trust and will patiently work with you through a car buying experience then I recommend asking for Crista.

This place should have fewer stars than a black hole. I spent 6 hours in the lobby just to be told that it's not possible to install hitch wiring on my style of vehicle, despite having provided them all the details of the car when making the appointment. Then they make me pay a "restocking fee" for a part they ordered and then said doesn't work on my car. Aren't they supposed to know their own brand?

I loved my Job at Walkers Renton Subaru. I was with the company for 3 years and I genuinely loved the time I got there. Great pay plan and it gave me the opportunity to learn the sales world.
