Last month K delivered 10 cu yd of unscreened arborist chips. The experience and quality of products exceeded my expectations. Every interaction I had was friendly, helpful, and respectful. I spoke with the office manager (Kelly) several times and they were able to answer my many questions which helped me feel confident I was getting the right product. The delivery from K was fantastic. They were extremely careful and helped unload in a very tight driveway. K is an impressive driver. He was also one of the nicest human beings I’ve ever met. After he unloaded he asked me about my project and was genuinely interested. Not only was he extremely professional and great driver, he was very uplifting and positive to interact with. I have nothing but good things to say about Sunset materials and their amazing employees: especially Kelly and K. Highly recommend for the great product, great prices, and great people!

I called and asked the price of 1 yd medium bark? $40.00 the lady told me. A few minutes later I arrived to pay my $40 and was told it was now $49.88 (add tax plus a fuel charge). Is this dishonest? hmmm. Why not say the full price so the customer doesn't get a surprise? I was told to head over to the bark area and wait to be loaded. Get to the bark (which one and where do I wait)? I waited...10 minutes go by finally a loader shows up and he starts waving his arms. I am not fluent in arm language. After a couple of minutes of mexican arm language standoff he finally comes out and says to back the truck in the bark bay and he loaded my truck. Very frustrating customer service experience. It could have been better. It could have been: Total charge is $50, head to the red bark bin, back your truck in to be loaded. Will I be back? Nope.

I just wanted to express a special thanks to Kelly, who assisted me with my project a few days ago. She was very professional, attentive, and very customer oriented.
I would recommend that place to anyone who wants to get great customer service.

My wife & I (elderly couple) used the Small Haul $105 service for a DIY project; our drain rock load was over 2400lb. Office gal, Kellie, and delivery driver, K, were professional & helpful. Kellie called us & re-scheduled our delivery earlier; we were on a waiting list.
The driver, K, had modern equipment. For example, he could stand outside the truck & back it up remotely. The driver dumped our load in 3 separate locations that we chose. Which helped us immensely in spreading, transporting & shoveling the rock.
Reluctantly K, the driver, accepted a gratuity.
The product was good. Kellie & K are the kind of employees any employer would want: they represent the company well while working without supervision.

Not happy with their product their mulch sucks filled with sticks.. I ordered a yard and a half.. The clown on the front loader filled his 3 yd bucket. Dumped it all into my truck. Filled it up 4 feet over the top of the bed. I had to scoop out a yard with my hands didn't bring my tools.. Won't be going back here..

These guys rock! (Yes, pun 100% intended). I got the 5/8 crush because I wanted it to be easy to walk on occasionally, but not completely lock into place like the 5/8 minus.I had it delivered and the delivery guy called me exactly at the start of the delivery window to say he was on the way and showed up 20 minutes later. The delivery cost was worth it to me since it would have two or three loads in my (still shiny) truck, so I thought it was worth my time to have it delivered.For those who don't know, they sell gravel by the pound, and I got 4000 lb which was almost exactly the 1.5 yards that I needed. (Roughly 2700 lb per cubic yard).
