"I had an excellent experience with this car repair shop. Russell provided great communication throughout the entire process and went above and beyond to ensure my vehicle was taken care of. The turnaround time was fast, and the service exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend!

I stopped taking my Mercedes to South Lake Europen Motors not because the work wasn’t good, but because I asked them NOT to put after market brakes on my car because it leaves dust on my rims and they are very hard to keep clean, after market breaks also make the breaks squill. The sound is embarrassing and so very loud when you drive up people look at you. Never again will I go there!!! I should have took them to court because I told them I needed Mercedes breaks

This shop really helped us out of a pickle. The owner was very patient and kind through all of our questions. Brian helped us diagnose, and fix, our Mercedes-Benz C230K when the speed sensor (inside the transmission). They have very fair prices considering the great work they do here.

Brian and his team were absolutely amazing. I had an issue during a road trip which left me stranded near these guys and they were more than willing to help for a great price! Great quality work. If I ever find myself in Washington these guys would be my go to mechanics.

They were able to solve a problem with my Passat's oil pressure which had me very worried with nothing but an oil change, and in the process discovered other issues. But they never dealt with me unfairly or pressured me into services, just making sure I was aware of things which may become future concerns. Additionally, while they were at it I guess they solved a persistent issue with my rear hatch and didn't even mention it in the paperwork - I guess it's just that easy, when you're good at what you do! I will be going back. Thanks guys.

Approach with a mound of salt if bringing your car here. Brought my audi in due to misfire and oil consumption, rendering my car to go limp and then buck like crazy when trying to accelerate.
They diagnosed the car and noticed that the codes where telling them to replace the pcv valve and crank case valve which they said "would solve the lack of power when accelerating and the bucking". I was initially quoted roughly $1200 for the fix (~$300 for diagnosing the car). Thinking I could finally get it fixed, I okayed the procedure.
They had the car for 1 week (they're closed on weekends), 3 of those days the car was just sitting, as they were waiting for parts to come in. Once the parts came in, they installed the parts and diagnosed it again, in which it was now spitting out a misfire code that they believe was due to spark plugs/coilpacks (I don't know how this was not found during the original diagnosis). They recommended a replacement pack of sparkplugs to fix the problem, which added an additional $500 to the quote (current total is ~$1700) I okayed that fix too. It took 1 day to do the "fix".
When I went to go pick it up the same day of the fix, they assured me that the car was fine and that they road tested it with no error codes popping up. I paid them and drove the car home. And guess what...the same error codes came up again and the car was showing the same symptoms as before bringing it in.
I called them up to let them know the same thing is happening and they wanted me to bring the car in for another $300 diagnosis. They diagnosed the car again...and now say it's a misfiring problem that's stuck with one of the cylinders. I don't understand how this didn't show up in the first 2 diagnosis' especially when they road tested the car. For the fix they said it could be 2 problems, intake manifold and/or fuel injector problem, altogether being quoted an ADDITIONAL $1400 ~ $2000+. They couldn't even guarantee that this would fix the car!!
At this point, it seems like the shop is just having me throw money at the car and hoping that something could fix it. It's hard to trust a shop like this that will diagnose your car, charge you for the diagnosis with a possible "fix" and then leave you dead in the water again hoping that if it faults again, you can throw more money at it and they can try something else.
Very disappointed in this shop.

Highly recommend this shop! I took my BMW there for convertible top mechanism repair and engine diagnostics and very happy with the results and the customer service the team provided. In fact, when part delivery was running late, Brian, shop’s GM and the mechanic stayed there with me after the store closing waiting for the part to arrive, so they could get my car ready that evening. Really appreciated it!

I've been taking my Volkswagen Beetle to South Lake European for the past few years and have always been so impressed with the customer service I've received! Russell is top notch, knowledgeable and helpful. The team has even helped me through financially tough times by including me in their Give Back initiative for Renton residents - this program offers hugely discounted repairs for those in need in the Renton community. I appreciate y'all, thanks for the great work!

Proceed at your own risk. My car was returned to me with more issues than when I left it. They left parts off, didn’t bleed my coolant system correctly, and my car overheated on the 3 mile drive home.
I limped the car home and bled the system according to BMW specs and by the end I had added nearly a gallon of coolant. They said they took it on a 6 mile test drive and everything looked good, save for a cylinder five misfire (that’ll be another $1k please). I had to explain to the front desk what parts my cooling system has, because his diagram didn’t show the all of them. I’d rather speak to someone knowledgeable about the vehicle they are servicing, than play a game of telephone between the front desk and the mechanic.
I had forgotten about writing this review, but today I got under the car to replace my driveshaft flex disc and found some rags left in my splash plate soaked in coolant. I don’t know why it’s so hard to find a shop you can trust to work on a European car. I did get my injector cover back, but I’m not sure if I would have, had I not shown up to ask for it.

The guys have a fair approach to maintenance and repairs. They worked with me and gave progress updates, and as soon as they discovered another worn out item while working on the replacement they recommended a fix but asked what I'd like to do. Responsive and honest, I'm going back here next time I need special work on this car.
