It's always a pleasure being here. We get food, accessories, and, of course, new pets to adore. The staff are amazing and friendly. Everyone is knowledgeable and approachable professionally with a nice touch of family orientation.My daughters enjoy every experience. Oh, and Gizmo is by far top notch staff member. ?

sunday may 26th 2024 arround noon young guy was on counter ive asked price for fish tank stand he said VERRY EXPENSIVE....... i paid 1k for rimless tank also 600$ kessil ..... spending 500$ for stand is fine i was about to purchase the but the guy look at me and said very expensiveby the way that stand was very very nice one its solid

I use to live up the hill from here and would come here for all my fish. Everytime I tried PetSmart their fish would die quickly. I had a 30 gallon tank and we got so many fish here. We ended up having alot of guppie baby fish and for about 3 months I was donating the babies to them. We had so many fish and not a big enough tank. We bought plants here too. Very nice and helpful staff!

I have been shopping at Sierra Fish & Pets for at least ten years.I went there today to buy crickets around 3:30 pm, which I purchase there about once a week. There is normally a friendly young person to help me but today there was no one to be seen.The store owner ???refused to call someone to help me. Instead, he rudely told me that there was no one available to help me so I would just have to wait until he was available. He helped several other customers on both registers with large orders before he finally got to me.I had to wait for 10 to 15 minutes; I felt like he was intentionally making me wait just because I had asked him if there was someone else who could help me.I have NEVER been show so much disrespect. Hope that isn’t how he treats other regular customers!

Really sad to see rabbits and guinea pigs being kept together. It's fatal for the guinea pigs because rabbits naturally carry bordetella. I also saw the rabbits picking on the guinea pigs and they can't eat the same food.Fish tanks were very dirty rest of the store was very messy and unorganized. Some of the foods looked very old and possibly expired. I'mproper habitats for some. I'd only buy supplies here. But even with that your still supporting a business that doesn't care for the animals as well as they should. Would not recommend.

This place has a great selection but it feels like you're in your weird aunt's filthy hoarder-house. There is stuff just stacked up all willy-nilly. If you looked hard enough you might find the original owner's body under a bale of rabbit bedding. I still love coming here though.

Edit to previous review: Great selection but take it with a grain of salt. A friend's plants he bought had snails on them, and I saw lots of sad Bettas. They also sell very small tanks that make me worry. Higher prices on everything, but you can put up with it to support your LFS. Very knowledgeable employees!

Good quality fish. However when I came in to buy a hamster, the old lady that works there asked what my age was and I told her I was 18 at the time. She said she was asking cause they couldn't sell the pets to minors and I was okay with that question... but then she proceeded to ask me if I lived with my parents which was none of her business and was a question about my personal life... Refused to sell me the hamster that I wanted because I told her I lived with my parents. The hamsters were showing every sign of stress from the wheels being too small, to the lack of space, and no sand bath which is a terrible example to potential hamster owners. Fortunately this kid said he would ring me up and I saved this hamster....I eventually Came back in after doing more research for some sand because hamsters need sand to bathe themselves. The same lady tried to sell me chinchilla sand which can kill a hamster cause the fine sand gets in their lungs causing respiratory infection. They have great fish. However I do not recommend buying small mammals from here due to the lack of knowledge they have on them. Please do your research before you purchase a small pet from anywhere because they also lied to me about the hamsters age. The guys that work there are super friendly and honest. Great customer service from everyone except her.

My go-to place for my cat and snake needs. Their staff are incredibly insightful, they have good stock, and they have a store cat named Gizmo who is super cute! Definitely recommended for all pet needs (including exotics) ❤️

Very crowded place! Customer service was excellent. Had water checked for my aquarium. Bought 10 Orange Sunkist Neocaridina's. All 10 made it home and still alive after a week ?

EVERYONE THAT WORKS HERE IS SO NICE AND EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLETalk about above and beyond customer service!!!! I’ve been here a handful of times but my most recent experience blew the rest out of the water!!I came in to buy an axolotl set up and baby Axo for my daughter, the gentleman in aquatics was more than helpful and was even nice to my overly excited toddler full of questions. The lizards and tarantulas and SCORPIONS were so unique and the staff in that department was so incredibly kind I was able to pull my car up and THEY LOADED MY FRIGGEN CAR FOR ME TOO ? ?Top notch customer service guys, will be sending everyone here! Wow

This pet shop was fantastic. The owner was ready to help with any questions and was knowledgeable about all the products they carried. Excellent selection of products for dogs, cats, fish, birds, tiny mammals, and other critters. Overall a great local shop with competitive prices and friendly and helpful staff.

This place is convenient for the Renton community. However the aquarium area could use a little work. The tanks seem on the dirty side and fish can be sick so be careful. However the prices are cheaper than most shops in the surrounding area.I would highly recommend going through the quarantine process at home if you buy fish from here.Overall they do a good job with room to improve.On the flip side, my wife often shops for dog stuff and will price check before buying. She often finds that things are priced higher here. However we will occasionally buy dispute higher prices to support local businesses or out of convenience.
