Security doesn't exist here! Smoke heads prying doors so they don't lock and when you tell management they don't investigate. Do better metropolitan-collection-apartments.

I have had nothing but problems since I moved into this apartment. Before I even was able to move a single item in the apartment on move-in day, the apartment complex was unreachable for almost 3 hours passed the time I was supposed to receive my keys. Another thing to add, at this point, I had not even done a walkthrough or seen the apartment I was moving into because the complex was only doing virtual walkthroughs due to COVID. The property management also wanted to see if I could move in the afternoon even though I had been charged a prorated rent for that day and the days leading to the end of the month. I did not end up getting my keys or access to the building until almost 3pm which means I was still moving in things at around midnight on day one. Not a great start. Then, as time went on, I quickly discovered that the leasing office team does a terrible job at answering the phone OR at attending to tenant needs in a relatively quick manner. They provide a phone number that 90% of the time goes to a "Call Center" who can only "send a message for the leasing agents to contact" me and also tell me that e-mail is often better at communicating with them. I though being close to the downtown area would be cool, however the people that surround the building on a day to day basis are extremely sketchy and borderline scary. The parking lot below the building belongs to the Park & Ride and we are told that tenants are not supposed to park there, yet there is no enforcement of that. Almost regularly, there are drug addicts smoking all kinds of things in the stairwell that leads down to the apartments actual tenant parking area on the B side of the building. That leads to the next best part: about every 2-3 weeks or so, the buildings fire alarm goes off. It is obviously extremely loud not only in the hallways of the building but rings in each individual apartment. Last week, a notice was put onto the door leading to the public side walk and stated "The required fire sprinkler and/or fire alarm system in this building has experienced a failure and does not meet the minimum requirements for fire and life safety per International Fire Code section 901.7" (Picture attached) Now, I am not sure if the frequency of the fire alarm going off is due to this flawed sprinkler system or homeless/drug induced people pulling the fire alarms down in the Park & Ride Parking Lot which causes the WHOLE building's fire alarms to go off or not, but frankly, to be paying as much as I do for this apartment, it is extremely annoying. In conclusion, if you are looking for even a half-decent apartment for yourself or your family; this one may appear to be nice and welcoming. It is for sure not. Find another place to call home.I'm also sure this review will be taken down quickly by the apartment management company, so hopefully you see this before it does.

Metropolitan collection of apartments. Subsidiary of Wasatch Premier Communities. Applied and paid nominal Application Fee. Also paid $200 Administrative Fee. After payments I was contacted by: Leasing Agent David Rodriguez 339 Burnett Ave South Renton, WA 98057 425-357-7203. This agent informed me by email, after I had paid the Admin Fee of $200, that income requirements where expected to meet: 3x monthly (W2 income) or 5x monthly (Non-W2 income). I was not informed, before paying, that the income requirements would be quite this unreasonable. I responded with Email asking for a refund of the Administrative Fee of $200. My email was returned by a different Leasing Agent. Leasing Agent David has since been unresponsive. I will continue escalating this with the local authorities until my refund is received. Please provide future applicants with a CLEAR RANGE of income requirements (W2 or Non-W2) prior to applying.

This is the absolute worst place I have ever lived. There was human feces and urine in the elevator almost daily and the staff was so unreasonable. I couldn't sleep at night because they put these stupid "welcome home" flags outside my bedroom window and whenever the wind blew it was so loud. Being in a valley you can only imagine how often that happened. I bought a white noise machine, fan, anything I could do to try to get some sleep over the flags but nothing helped. I complained several times to management and they just laughed and said they weren't going to do anything. I even asked to speak to the building managers boss and she was NO help. I moved out the second I could. This place is dangerous, filthy and a sad excuse for a home. Oh and did I mention the two shootings right outside my apartment in the first three months I lived there? Or the constant police activity because it's such a high crime area. Definitely think hard before living somewhere like this. Oh and several years later their stupid call box still has my number in it so people call me all the time trying to get in the building. Get your s*** together!

My wife and I have lived here for a couple of years and have enjoyed our time here. It’s right in the heart of downtown and we have access to multiple bars, restaurants, and mom/pop stores. The management went through some changes a couple of years ago, and the current management team is fantastic.

I've lived here for 7 years at Metropolitan Place, and I'm signing my lease for another year this month. There's been some noticeable changes with the management, overall maintenance of the building, and how things are done as far as rent payments go lately. I would say most of it is for the better.Great location.. I travel often for work and I love that it's easy access to buses and the airport. If you're looking for a place that's close to Seattle, the mall, food, etc then this is it.The area can get kind of dicey at times, but the building inside is clean and well-kept. Half of the parking garage is public transit, and the other half is secured resident parking so it's separated from the public.Any issues I've had with my apartment are addressed in a timely manner, with respect and courtesy to my schedule. I feel like they sincerely care about me here, and treat me like family. When it all boils down to it, that's why I've decided to stay for this long.Overall this is a great place to live.
