Because of my experience working there, I feel that what they pay is not even substantial for the personal toll this place takes on employees. My ex-manager was on his 18th day straight of work when I went in and got fired. They fired me because a day after I cut myself on my leg at the store, I had a piss test (i passed) for L&I and just didn't want to stand for 8 hours on my newly stitched up leg, so i called out and tried to use a sick day. Also, at that point I was really contemplating quitting. Not gonna lie, i hated the hours, working one day until midnight than up at 730am to be there by 8 am or sometimes 5am. It goes with the territory of assistant manager, which is a position I should have never taken going to school full time and such. But, since there was more pay, (not even Seattle's minimum wage) I took it.
