I have been coming here over 1 year. I've seen most of the vets and would recommend this place. The prices are higher than our last place but our experience is much better here. Anytime our pets have been sick, they have seen us same day majority of the time. One out of at least five sick visits, we saw them next business day. Our last vet would always recommend we go to ER because they never had appts or we would have to call at 7am to fight for an urgent visit appt which I could never get in. Everyone is friendly as well.

Vet technician was very nice to me and my dog. Didn’t like the way the vet doctor was talking to me. She’s very condescending and she needs to change the way she talks to people. Would of have gave them 2 stars but the vet technician was more professional then the vet doctor.

I am in absolute shock right now. I’m in the process of transferring care due primarily to moving. However, I have not gotten my dogs set up at a new clinic near me yet. My dogs’ pharmacy notified me they were due for a prescription they need on Friday, and I called the vet this morning as soon as they opened to ensure they got the notification. I also spent a lot of time on hold and tried to call back before they closed since I went to the pharmacy and it was not there. I was very polite despite losing time from work due to all the holds and time spent on this.
The vet knows my dogs need this to sleep, which is why they prescribed it. They also know my arm is in a sling.
I received a bizarre email about them now wanting to do things I previously requested, and wanting to terminate vet services. I still have not received confirmation from the pharmacy the prescription was sent, despite the pharmacy themselves not if it was due to request it.
This is the strangest and most bizarre thing I think I have ever encountered. Endangering the health and safety of my dogs, and clearly extremely unprofessional and shocking. I am astounded by all of this.
I was told they were having a busy day today, but that is clearly not ok to do just because of being stressed or busy. I have no idea what I am going to do for my dogs tonight now, and the nearest urgent care is over an hour away. Furthermore, the prescription should have already been ready to pick up this morning at the pharmacy under their 24 hour policy, and I did not even mention this to them.
I am just blown away, and very concerned for my dogs right now.

Getting close to a decade of these wonderful folks taking care of my cats and dogs. Dr. Coil and Dr. Beckham (and everyone else!) have always treated myself and my pets with respect and care, in a pleasant, clean facility.

Eastside vet is hands down the best veterinary hospital Lucca and I have been to so far! Lucca is usually super anxious at the vet and doesn’t like being touched by strangers. Dr. Cook and Kayla were so patient and gentle with her, bribing her with lots of treats, and managed to get the physical exam done without putting her under too much pressure. Their empathy for anxious dogs is truly remarkable! Would highly recommend bringing your dogs here for fear-free vet visits. Dr. Cook also took the time to answer my questions about Lucan’s gait and reassured me her knees are perfectly fine after examining her. It gives me a peace of mind hearing it from the vet, given Lucan’s past CCL injury and how active her lifestyle is. Looking forward to bringing Lucca here again for her vaccines next week!

We had the best experience with Eastside Veterinary Associates in Newcastle. We were impressed from the initial phone call, to the friendliness of the staff, to the open and clean space, the timeliness to be seen, the actual appointment itself (Dr. Beckham was personable and professional and has great follow up), the test/treatment plan. We are most grateful for this wonderful team at EVA! Thank you very much! and thanks from Hank :)

My dog has had a good experience at this practice. We’ve been to both the Kirkland and Newcastle locations, the doctors, techs, and front desk staff are consistently professional, responsive, and kind.
I wouldn’t consider them to be holistic vets, but that’s fine with me as I will push back against any treatment plans I don’t want to proceed with and the doctors are always respectful of my decision and just want us to understand the risks involved.
Pricing is pretty standard as far as I can tell.
If you have a new puppy, inquire about their puppy playtime as a new patient (Newcastle location). It’s a great way for dogs to socialize. But dogs must be clear from any issues, up to date on vaccinations, and 6 months of age or younger. The playtime is not segregated by breed size so be aware of this when you attend.
Overall, a very well run practice. In the future, I would likely seek out other holistic veterinary practices in addition to Eastside Vet to have different perspectives to support my pet’s wellbeing.

The team at EVA at Renton have been some of the most amazing people I’ve ever met. Without them, I would have never had the opportunity to meet my dog, Banzai. The staff at EVA help take in animals from animal control for veterinary care if needed. Dr. Coil and so many others at EVA saved my dog’s life. At the time, he was Whirlpool, a skinny pup with a heart murmur without a bright outlook for the future. The murmur turned out to be pulmonic stenosis and the team took it upon themselves to raise the money to get Whirlpool a lifesaving heart surgery instead of letting him get euthanasia.
After rescuing Whirlpool from a local shelter, I unknowingly took him to EVA because of a gift certificate for a free medical exam and echocardiogram. Little did I know about the full story or how pivotal this team had been in his case and how involved they would continue to be.
I will be forever thankful for the care EVA gave to him as a stray and for the love and care they continue to give to him now. As long as Banzai remains alive, we will continue to be clients and customers of EVA.
I wish I could remember everyone’s name who has been involved with his care, but there are so many people who have looked over him and given him love. For those of you who have, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Special thank you to Dr. Coil who has been the most amazing vet to work with and for responding to all of my emails, even when they’re lengthy and full of panic or worry. I truly believe Banzai wouldn’t be here without you guys and my heart has never been happier than when I’m with him. Thank you, again and again.
If you need a vet, run, don’t walk to EVA. They are simply the best.
With love,
Stacey and Banzai Whirlpool Hoffman (he will forever be Whirlpool!)

As a Travel Nurse, traveling with my Doberman that has multiple health issues, can be frustrating finding a good vet while I’m working in that area. I was blown away at the wonderful and thorough care we received from Dr Cook and the rest of the staff!! They went above and beyond treating my Doberman!! I highly recommend them to anyone who needs a vet. You won’t be disappointed!

Our family LOVES Eastside Vet and hands down recommend Dr. Coil to anyone looking for a highly skilled and compassionate provider for your pet family! Her attention to detail, knowledge of care and the way the clinic is organized and efficient lets us know we’re in good hands.
Our high maintenance pups- an Aussie and GSD both have received such great care for their physical and mental health as both were rescues needing some extra TLC! Thanks Eastside Vet & Dr Coil!

We LOVE Eastside clinic and all their staff. Our dog of 12 years was extremely traumatized from a different vet experience and we had tried several other vets in the Renton/Bellevue area, but it wasn’t until we came to Eastside vet that they were able to accommodate us and work with Jax’s needs so perfectly. For example, would meet us out outside to perform his exams, which allowed Jax to feel less anxious. Our Jax recently crossed the rainbow bridge and Dr. Coil who was his regular vet, came to our home to allow us to have our peaceful last moments with him. Dr. Coil and her team were also extremely thoughtful and kind during this very difficult time and helped guide us along the way. We now have Meeko in our lives and trust no one as much as Eastside and Meeko loved his very first appointment and all the love and care. All he wanted to do was go in the back and say hello to all the staff members. All the staff clearly love animals!

We have taken our dogs to Eastside Veterinary Associates for the past 6 years since we moved to the area from out of state. Dr. Coil and the staff are so wonderful. We had a very high medical need dog, and the care and compassion they had for our sweet Matilda was incredible. Dr. Coil helped quickly diagnose her with Addison's Disease when she was in a crisis, and her follow up care was always handled with true sincerity, thoroughness, and kindness. When we said good bye to Matilda after losing her to kidney disease, Dr. Coil called me to check in on us afterward, and the whole Veterinary Clinic sent us a beautiful hand written card. These are the kind touches that mean so much. We have had three other dogs in their care, and every time I walk through the door I feel genuinely greeted and that the staff is so happy to see us. Everyone is always so patient, and scheduling has always been easy. I highly recommend this clinic both for veterinary care and boarding. I'm so glad we found them when we moved up here.

Brought our new rescue dog Panchito for his first wellness visit today. He was examined by Dr. Martha Cook and Vet Tech Shirley. They did a great job connecting with Panchito, making him feel at home and gave us excellent advice. We brought our last dog here for several years, and each and every doctor, tech, and administrative person was caring and professional. Several times with our previous dog in his old age, we called needing urgent care, and he was usually seen that same day. I could go on and on, but suffice it to say that everyone at Eastside Veterinary Associates is a compassionate pro.

I've been taking my dogs to Eastside Veterinary Associates for over 5 years now and have found them to be the Best. They are very knowledgeable and caring. They take their time to ask questions and find out how my dog is doing. Their facilities are clean, which I appreciate because my dogs always seemed to catch something new from the previous vet. I highly recommend them for taking care of your fur babies.
