Brotherton Cadillac should stick to selling Cadillacs.
I bought a used BMW car from them, I knew I was buying a used car. I had no expectations as it's a used car they sold it As Is like all dealers. I thought I was buying from a non shady somewhat reputable dealer..
Although for $20k and a car with 72k miles I did not expect to buy a car that was filled with thick oil to prevent the engine from knocking.
No, I could not check it, it has NO DIPSTICK, it's computer registered.
The dealer had changed the oil in 2023 according to their sticker on the window.
I drove the car about 2 weeks.
Suddenly the engine started making noise and stalled out, had it towed to the shop to check the oil and find out the motor was knocking.
The car had no check engine lights. It had a warning for the stupid cameras not working is all. Shop scanner showed the Vanos system was deactivated. Programmer said the dealer had it turned off to prevent any check engine lights.
Salesman said call the manager, I did twice since they aren't crooks, no reply since.
Insurance will not cover it as it has not been 30 days, GAP says you're screwed it does not cover mechanical failures.
So people have no recourse for shady dealers who sell vehicles that are not safe.
I definitely would have towed to Brotherton and shoved it through their front window
if it died in the middle of the freeway with my kid in it.
I expect this from a lot of the little dealership who buy cars from auction, but not a place like Brotherton.
I guess they have to make money on the backs of hard working people..

Very good experience and XT6 is a wonderful vehicle. Perfect size and no-nonsense V6. Despite it's large size the XT6 is easy to park and actually feels nimble. Jason Liu is very professional and handled our transaction without pressure or games.
