I went here because the main US Bank customer service guided me to visit this particular branch location, which is the only one with open counters in the city. Believe me, I did not want to go out just to do a simple banking. For some reason, US bank has several simple banking stuff that they insist on doing in person, although the other bank I work with enables clients to do everything online/over the phone. When I went to the counter, a clerk basically refused to help and said that they are not supposed to have a customer encounter longer than 5 minutes, and my banking stuff would take longer than that. There was absolutely no one in line. I asked if she can help with a fund transfer (US bank does not allow that online or by phone), then she said that it is 15 minutes past fund transfer cut-off, so she told me to come back next day. Frustrated, I called a banker and he literally did it over the phone, in like 10 minutes. I had to go back to the same branch for a final signature. When I went back, what I saw there was simply appalling. There was a gentleman who was at the counter making what looked like business deposits and he stood there for literally 20 minutes, joking around with the clerk! So it seems like US Bank only has the restricted customer assistance time of 5 minutes for certain people only, but their special clients can hang out as long as they want to. Instead of treating the clients like walking viruses, why don't they enable clients to do simple banking online or by phone so I do not have to risk my health to go out and deal with this kind of BS.
