My daughter has been training since she was 4.5 years old and my son started at 3.5 years old. Master Gao is an amazing Kung Fu master and most importantly, patient with the kids. Master Gao and his wife are like family to us.

Shaolin Kungfu Chan Academy has been serving the Eastside since 2010, offering lessons on authentic Shaolin Kungfu, 18 weapons, boxing, and Tai Chi. In every class, regardless of adults or children, everyone is full of energy and vitality. Master Gao's attentiveness and dedicated teaching has taught his fellow students from basics all the way to the advanced techniques. Apart from learning kung fu, self-discipline, self-defense, more importantly, they have learned about politeness, sincerity, and peaceful and harmony. Every year, Master Gao would lead his team of students to perform for various communities and schools to promote the art of Shaolin kungfu. He also trains his students to compete in martial arts tournaments outside Washington.
