The grocery store I most often use in Redmond. Has a good variety of general ingredients and most of what's available is of decent to good quality. I usually use their Drive Up & Go service to minimize risk, a very convenient service to offer! A note on if you are using that service through, make sure you check your phone/email about your order and double check your receipt. Most of the time if there's something they can't get for you they'll note available substitutions or exclude it from your order, but there have been a handful of times when I realized halfway through the week that they had forgotten to get me an onion or something. It only makes a small dent in the score though because their customer service has never let me down!

This review is for the Bakery. Specifically, for the kind older lady in this department who starts with an M. I won't name her directly but I hope the store sees this and recognizes her for great customer service and dedication to her craft. I mentioned I forgot to some details in my online order and she kindly accomodated them on the spot for me. I really appreciated the gesture and she also gave me some tips for ordering next time. Thank you M!

On Apr 12th afternoon around 2:30, I was at the store customer service counter, no one was there. I waited for a while, I know the employee who is at the self-check line saw me. Then another customer came, we both waited. We asked that employee to call someone come help, but she said “there is no one to call!” with her tone of voice. She walked to the counter rising her voice to me said “what do you want!” After I got my change, I walked to other side of store, and asked an employee where is the manager, she said that the manager is in the meeting. But she told me that customer service woman name is Hao. The customer who was behind me catching up with me, she said she will make a complaint to that person. This was THE worst customer service I have ever got ! OMG!

For the last six months or so, every time I've done my weekly shopping, there's been a dog in the store. None of these dogs are service dogs. Sometimes it's a little dog, sitting with its bare butt in the cart. Sometimes its a large dog, blocking an aisle or sniffing at food. Today I heard a large dog aggressively bark at another shopper. I have seen no signage indicating that dogs (except service dogs) are not allowed, although that's the case (theoretically, but not in practice). Neither have I ever seen an employee confront one of these irresponsible, outrageous pet owners.
Since I see a dog every time I shop, I can only assume there's on average a different dog in this store every hour of the day, and when you think about how many dogs have been all over this place where you buy your food... gross!

This review is for their app delivery. Their delivery service initially was just okay. I mostly used it cuz of their in-app deals. Last few experiences though is sending me back to Amazon! I'd never receive fresh produce - moldy lemons, half rotten onions and fruits. Their sushi was overcooked every time and leaky milk carton. Many times, items were missing, but I was still billed for those. I had to explicitly initiate a request for a refund. The app has no way to adjust the tip. I dislike tipping for this kinda service on top of the delivery fee! The delivery is apparently done by Doordash drivers even if it's Safeway app order. They said they only pickup the order and aren't aware of missing items. I also didn't get the paper receipts for my last few orders. On one occasion, a driver mentioned about a few items in my order. But when delivered, they weren't there. Had a very unpleasant experience overall

The intersection at 24th and 151st street is dangerous to walk across because cars leaving Safeway constantly turn into the crosswalks. I've nearly been hit several times walking to this Safeway.

I know someone who works at the deli, and the things theyve told me are very concerning. A cooler full of mold and un sealed pans of meat left exposed and likely contaminated, serving containers dropped on the floor being put back into the pile to be used for customers (sometimes by a manager), allergens like peanuts being carelessly allowed to spill into other foods, and an overall total lack of organization and general preparedness. The food also tends to lose its freshness over the time that it's out and being served, the fried chicken especially tends to look pretty iffy. On top of that, it sounds like theyve been raising food prices constantly, sometimes without updating price labels and leaving employees to be yelled at when customers don't get the price they expected

For those complaining in reviews about rude staff, remember you're in Redmond Washington. Not very nice folks here very often if the sun ain't shining. That being said, they are half and half here over the years. But I did have trouble with a gift card being unusable from here and neither safeway nor Visa will refund me, so beware. Also they shouldn't have had the store open when it was under heavy construction. :( very unsafe "safe"way

Convenient location. There is accessible parking. Prices are normal. I am very dissatisfied with the fact that cashier Chris refused to give me the medicine, which is on sale over the counter.
