All The Best Pet Care - Redmond
17875 Redmond Way, RedmondA lot of specialty food brands for dogs here. I mostly go for the bully sticks that they sell per piece in their bulk treat section (along with various other single ingredient treat options - great selection). They have a reward program if you buy regularly. Alternatively they partner with Amazon and you can get stuff delivered for a reasonable delivery fees. They keep a pumpkin treat for all dogs that visit the store.

Sam's Cats & Dogs Naturally
23535 NE Novelty Hill Rd Suite 304, RedmondI recently visited Sam’s in Redmond and was incredibly impressed with my overall experience. Customer service was top-notch, with members who were friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about helping pets and their owners. The store had a wide selection of high-quality products for my pets needs. The store was well-maintained, creating a welcoming environment for pets and customers. My Chihuahua absolutely loved the treats I purchased, and I could see a visible improvement in her well-being. I highly recommend Sam’s to anyone looking for exceptional products and service for their furry friends. A definite five-star experience!" They offer grooming services as well. It's affordable, and Carmen, the groomer, is very kind and shows great care when trimming nails.

Postdoc Brewing Company
17625 NE 65th St #100, RedmondOur go-to spot for hanging out any day of the week is this amazing brewery, perfectly located near the entrance of Marymoor Park. Whether you're looking to unwind with a cold beer after a long day or just enjoy some downtime with friends, this place never disappoints. Their Hazy IPA is always our top choice (though they like to switch up the name now and then), but their Blonde Ale and Pale Ale are equally fantastic. No matter what’s on tap, you’re in for a treat!
The atmosphere is lively, and recently we've noticed a lot more people stopping by, even in the middle of the week, which just adds to the great vibe. The spacious seating both indoors and outdoors ensures you’ll always find a spot to relax, and parking is hassle-free. One of the best parts is the rotating food trucks—they usually have either Mexican or Thai cuisine, and both pair perfectly with the beers. If you're looking for the perfect hangout with great drinks and food options, this is it!

River Trail Roasters
8397 158th Ave NE Suite 100, RedmondVisited on a weekday around noon. Plenty of space to sit and work (solid WiFi and good amount of outlets throughout the space). There’s also a nice sofa/lounge area in front of the fireplace. I’ve been here a few times now and every time different staff have been very friendly. Drinks and food are so good. MUST TRY their “chai-nog” and the pecan brioche (toasted). It’s also right off a walking/biking trail (1 mile to marymoore park), 1 block from the public library, and 1 block from the newly renovated Senior & Community Center which makes for a great day out for a date or with kids. Highly recommend this cozy cafe.
Dietary restrictions: Good selection of vegetarian and vegan options. Also have alt-dairy options.
Kid-friendliness: They have good selection of carton kid juices and milks. High chairs are also provided!
Wheelchair accessibility: Space inside is open enough for a wheelchair, but not as accessible in terms of automatic doors.

JJ Mahoney's Irish Pub
8932 161st Avenue Northeast, RedmondThe gentleman who greeted us was very charming and welcoming. We decided to sit at the bar to watch the upcoming soccer match.
The bartender (didn't catch his name but he was tall, kind of redheaded and wore glasses) was just great. Very polite and attentive, but never too attentive.
We both had the Impossible burger with steak fries (I think; my husband asked what the difference was between the steak fries and the house fries and we ended up with the "wider" of the two).
The fries could have spent another 30 seconds or so in the fryer, but they were pretty good. Not what I would call steak fries, which to me are more like wedges with the skin left on. These were wide and kinda flat rectangles.
The burger had two nice slices of tomato and lettuce, and some sliced avocado. I would've liked some onion, too. The plate also came with a large spear of pickle.
Our only quibble is that the burger patty was small, just five ounces. We've had Impossible burgers in many pubs and restaurants in Wash. and in other states, and have never gotten one so small. For $24, we expect an 8 ounce. Just sayin'.
Other than that, it's a great place. The staff the day we were there were working really, really hard, but always maintained a friendly demeanor.
And there's loads of free parking in the parking lot it shares with other businesses.
If we're ever back that way again, we'd definitely go back!

Northwest Brewing Pint & Pie Public House
7858 Leary Wy, RedmondA wonderful bar to have good beer and quality food. We had a party of eight and there was plenty of party size seating. There was an excellent selection of craft brews and other options like ciders, wine, and cocktails too. Our table had the Burgundy Beef Pie, Chicken Pot Pie, pretzel app, and Fig & Pig pizza. All was delicious and filling. Perfect for a fall day. Evan was on top of all the orders in the bar with great service and attention. My favorite part was that I could actually talk to the people I was with and hear them while watching the game. Worth the stop.

Motley Zoo Animal Rescue
16725 Cleveland St, RedmondI recently applied to volunteer at MZ to spend time with dogs as well as help in the effort of advocating and caring for animals in need. I received an email response the next day and was able to immediately contribute and make an impact. I have a 4 year old dog I got as a puppy from a shelter, thats where my experience and awareness of shelters and rescues started and ended. I have been welcomed with enthusiasm. Was provided quality training to safely and effectively care for the dogs and provide a clean, safe place for them. I was introduced to the vision and passion to improve the world beyond helping animals in ways big and small.
This hasn’t been the experience I was expecting. It has been so much better and my reasons to volunteer have become so much bigger than when I first applied. The passion and energy the people at MZ and the MZ community have for the selfless work being done has been inspiring as well as motivating to be the best we can. What started as a way to give some time for a cause greater than myself has turned into me caring about and aware of the multitude of ways MZ is dedicated to not only help animals but the environment as well. I look forward to continuing to learn and grow within the MC community and movement.
