(Edited) I got a haircut from Ana and was not happy with the results. I felt that it was cut too short and layered too thin, especially as I’m trying to grow it out. Later, Ana followed up with me to see what could be done to help and graciously offered a complimentary session to make it right. I really appreciate that she is open to feedback and shows care for clients.

I’ve always had the best experience here. Selwa is my GO TO girl for getting my hair right and healthy. If you need your hair done, ask for her. Then we have Yasmeen, eyebrow GODDESS. Like no one should be THAT good at brows. But thank god she is. Could ask for more in one salon.

Very professional staff. I had been here two years ago when they used to be an Aveda salon, for facials, used to love it back then and love it now as well when I visited after 2 years for hair appointment. The parking is a bit cramped and the location can be a bit confusing.rest all good.

My search has ended on the corner of 85th Street in Redmond . I have found the dream team of hair colorist and hairdresser extraordinaire and I will share with anyone who is in search of perfection! Anna , the owner and creative director, is a true find and incredibly gifted professional. Her haircuts are not rushed but rather precise and planned . Yesterday was my haircut, today I have received more compliments than I have ever received. If you demand the best .. go to a stylist who demands the best of herself . The colorist Alyssa is as exacting with color as Anna is with styling. The salon is a true gem tucked away in Redmond. I have found hair heaven .

I had a wonderful experience here, Selwa and Alyssa both worked on my hair and made my vision of what I wanted come true. I had brought inspiration photos of the type of color and how short I wanted my hair and the type of bangs I really wanted. They discussed with me the options and the realization that it might not be achieved in one appointment which I appreciate to know what to expect. They were very sweet and so easy to talk to, which I was very thankful for because I knew I was gonna be in that salon chair for awhile for how light I wanted my hair to be. I was essentially also there to assist in Alyssa learning new color techniques, to see a bit of their training was nice, to see how in depth they can get. And let me tell you, Alyssa is VERY good and Selwa is an AMAZING teacher. They were very positive and enjoyable to be around. Overall, they made me at ease for what to expect and how to care for my hair and answered all my questions. When I was unsure about something and asked about it they were able to answer those questions. My hair turned out absolutely phenomenal and is so soft and shiny and just feels so healthy, especially after being thoroughly lightened, they made the color look natural and I was so impressed. If anyone is reading to see if they should give this salon a shot the answer is DO IT! You will not be disappointed. If you’re still unsure, call them and see about a consultation, I think once you’re there and feel the vibe and energy of this salon you’ll know this salon is the one for you! Thank you Selwa and Alyssa, my hair is amazing and I am so obsessed with it!

Selwa is the best! I came to her with choppy uneven layers from my previous cut elsewhere and she far exceeded my expectations. She was able to fix my layers without losing my length, and my hair has never looked better on a daily basis since implementing her styling advice and using the recommended products.

I went in for a haircut and had waist long, keratin treated shiny hair. I asked for facial framing and keeping the hair long in the back. The hairdresser cut a pretty long chunk of my hair in the first go and told me that she would keep that hair aside so that the staff could practice coloring on that hair. After that, she gave me a standard layer cut where the longest layer is a little more than shoulder length. It’s not a bad haircut, but for a $120 haircut, I expected to get the haircut that I wanted. I wonder if the hairdresser cut my hair so short just because they wanted hair samples for training their staff ☹️

I’ve been going here for several years and they have always done a fantastic job coloring and cutting my hair. They are kind and friendly and the salon products they use make my hair really soft and healthy. I highly recommend trying this salon out.

I was initially apprehensive about getting my first balayage. However, Ana was incredibly patient in addressing all my questions and guiding me through various styles, hair textures, and colors. She dyed my hair leaving my hair looking fantastic. Ana took the time to educate me about balayage aftercare and recommended the best products for maintaining my hair's health and vibrancy. Thanks to her expertise, I've found my go-to salon and will gladly recommend Origin Salon to my friends.

Love this salon and spa, services and staff are incredible. I see Selwa for my hair and she also cuts my young daughter's extremely curly hair. She's amazing all around, color, cuts, and education around styling and products is tops! She is also one of the nicest people I've met, I want to send everyone I know to see her!! I also had a Hydra Facial with Sydney and she's great as well. I've worked in the spa industry for 15 years, and she's one of the good ones! My skin looks and feels great, and she's very passionate about what she does.

Usually have a good impression of the salon but my last visit was a total rip off, vary disappointing. I made an appointment for my boyfriends curly hair easy barber cut, they said it would be 75$. I was like wow okay I’m sure it’ll be a great experience. But change in plans he couldn’t make it and I didn’t want to waste a good appointment. I asked if I can take the appointment instead for just a trim. I have straight, little below the shoulder hair. They couldn’t finish my haircut by the time their next customer came so the stylist left me to attend them instead. All the employees were goofing off trying on ugly hair samples destructing my stylist, turning a 30 min trim to an hr. I took the plastic cover off me and walked myself to the front desk because they left me in the chair alone waiting, and my hair was clearly done. I asked multiple times how much it would be…$100. BUT when she realizes I didn’t wanna tip because I’m broke and did not like experience ..she adds an extra $5 fee because they are eco friendly with cleaning the hair on the floor…. should’ve mentioned that when I asked how much it was. Drained my pockets for a lousy trim. The environment should’ve lived up to the professionalism you guys present yourself as.

I've been going to Origin spa for about a decade now so this review is long overdue:My journey at this Origin began with the talented Selwa, who has been my go-to hairstylist for YEARS. She's the only stylist I trust cutting or coloring my hair. Her warm and friendly demeanor has always made me feel right at home. I'm so dedicated to her craft that I even make the trip from Seattle just to see her.I decided to explore the spa's other offerings, and I am beyond thrilled that I did. Both Yasmeen and Sydney are skincare experts and they've collectively transformed my skin. I battle acne & acne scars. The hydra facials I've received here have left my complexion feeling rejuvenated, radiant, and healthier than ever before. Their knowledge and skill in skincare are truly remarkable.I must also give credit to the spa's owner, Ana, who sets the welcoming and inviting tone for the entire establishment. Ana has curated a team of exceptionally talented professionals who are not only skilled at what they do but also offer great advice on products to use in between sessions.
