I’ve been going for two months now and I love it! I was new to BJJ (and really self defense in general) but they’ve made me feel so welcome, took the time to break things down for me, and enthusiastically answered all my questions (even if it was something the others were getting more quickly). As a side benefit, it’s also been the best workout of my life and has quickly gotten me into shape! Love the community and love the studio!

Both my kids go to Gracie Barra Bellevue and they absolutely love it here. The coaches are super welcoming and supportive. The professors and coaches strike the perfect balance between being friendly and professional, creating a positive environment that encourages students to excel and grow.Their approach to teaching is commendable. Not only do they focus on the physical aspects of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, but they also instill values such as respect, discipline, and perseverance in the kids. Many of the younger students here choose to stay for extended periods, as evidenced by the significant presence of gray (gray-white) belts within the 3-5, 6-8 age groups.

I visited earlier this week as a guest. The drop in fee is very reasonable, they had a high quality clean GI ready for me to wear. Everyone was nice and accommodating! Professor Carlos was very friendly and it was easy to follow his instruction in class. I'm currently a blue belt and I do appreciate that he has a class for blue belts and above. Great rolls. Looking forward to my next visit.Obrigado!

I absolutely love the Gracie barra sessions. It’s my first encounter with martial arts and I am truly happy I selected jiu jitsu and this particular space. The masters are very friendly, encouraging and patient. The overall environment is great.

My son started training at Gracie Barra recently. After trying a few martial arts gyms, I can honestly say this place stands above the rest. The coaches and truly invested in the success of their students. My boy is always looking forward to training.

The culture here is completely inviting and pleasant. As a novice in BJJ with only previous striking experience I am thoroughly enjoying my training here at Gracie Barra. The Academy ambiance is top tier level world class Jiu Jitsu. Super Safe and Family oriented, I look forward to many years of instruction under Professor Carlos and His Team. Muito Obrigado !!! Dropped in while on a work trip and they provided all my gear. Everyone at the gym was awesome, professor Carlos was really knowledgeable/helpful, and they seemed to strike a good balance between competitive and fun. Have been to many gyms and i know how to spot the good ones now. Would definitely recommend this gym.

We’re not new to martial arts, but new to GB BJJ and this school has been the best place we could have asked for! Professor Carlos effortlessly works with kids of all temperaments and ages within respect and grace. Can’t say enough good things about what we’ve experienced so far!

My son and I are training in Bellevue. I like the BJJ training culture and how Professor Carlos cultivates it in the group. Assistant coaches are also very attentive. My son is in love with it and wants to train everyday.

Visited when I was in town. I was welcomed with open arms like family. Originally came from a different Bang affiliate in Northern New York, with Coach Rick who essentially created my love for Muay Thai. It had been years. I forgot my kickboxing numbers and combos but was never judged nor felt unwelcomed. Thank you Coach Ryan and so many others!
