Good spot and fun area to go camping!! Great spot near Mt Rainier, and surrounded by tall trees. I like that they had an information board with hikes too! The campsites are really close together and jammed in to over 50 campsites in a small area, so there's not much privacy.

The campground is in a good location, but the Stevens Canyon Road was closed M-F after Labor Day, unfortunately, so we didn't get to check out Paradise. The campsites are like an "open concept", the trees are tall, so you can see and hear what everyone is doing. But it's a beautiful campground. No showers.

My husband and I spent 8 nights at this campground in Site A24. Absolutely loved it! We could here the Ohanapecosh River from our campsite. There are some nice hikes that you can do right from the campground (Silver Falls and Three Lakes). Trail of the Patriarchs is closed currently. This campground is about a 45 minute drive to the Paradise and Sunrise areas of Mt. Rainier National Park.

A loop is first come first serve! Was here is August, aka busy season, so there was a line at the visitor center at 0600 of people hoping to snag a fcfs spot at 0730. Come early to grab a spot! You can hike from loop C to a waterfall!Great campground!Spot A22 is specifically fantastic if you like more privacy (it’s at the far end of the loop) and has a view of the river from atop a hill!

Wonderful campsite(s) along a river (stream?) Close (40 min drive)to both Paradise and Sunrise. Decent facilities - toilets were relatively clean and easy access to drinking water. For the price, the campsite itself was more than sufficient. Bring your own wood for building your camp fire in the designated fire pit. Nice picnic spots along the river also a nice experience!

I think the reason why it's always full is because it's a good base camp for hikers that hike Mt. Rainier area. Other than that, there's no privacy and you're crammed in like sardines. The river was pretty that flows the the grounds, but there's no easy access to it at all

We had camped hence cannot comment on rooms. In heart of Mountains, just minutes from trailheads, it's location is awesome. Beware no mobile connection for at least an hours drive from the camp location. Camp site was clean, so was washroom etc. Loved the experienceNearby activities: Many trails and waterfalls are there

The location and campground in general are very amazing. There is a beautiful river running through the campground that has some fun swimming holes (if you don't mind that the water was snow earlier that morning and is therefore very cold). The campsites themselves were disappointing. Maybe we had an exceptionally bad one, but it looked like the park couldn't have possible cared less about creating a userfriendly campsite. There are no showers, so your only bathing option is rinsing off in the river.

The river is lovely and roaring. Sites are close together but with views like this it’s ok. D and F loops were more roomy and private. No firewood. No showers. There is a fresh fill station near the day use /hike parking. No dump station.

He had an amazing time camping here. Very clean and safe. Amazing trails and a beautiful river that you can put your feet in. We saw people fishing also. Plenty of space and it was quite at night for a good night sleep. Also packwood (a small town) is 10 min away by car.

So much space on each section. Rivers and streams run through the campground and there’s hikes you can go on to waterfalls straight from your tent. Reception were super helpful too. Parkwood town is only 15 minutes away if you need supplies. There’s no showers but there is always the river ?
