I have been to at least 6 ranges in the Seattle /
Tacoma region. I went to Tacoma Sportsmen's Club on a Tuesday, as it was my day off work, and my regular range in Seattle was closed. I had a great experience there. Everyone was super nice. The RSO's were great, and even helped me bore sight my new hunting rifle / scope. The public rifle range goes from 25 to 200 yards. I felt very safe there, and now my rifle is shooting sub MOA at 200 yards! A great place, and I will definitely be back!

The fee is now $25 to shoot at some paper. There are much cheaper options elsewhere.
The steel target in the back is no longer in position to be shot. On top of that, the RSO’s are still a little…odd. Every time I visit they either to be on some power trip, or they have too long of conversations in between hot and cold ranges, so it takes longer just to shoot.

Range closes at two. Not 5.
THEY CLOSE AT TWO PM. 2PM.
They may be there until 5, but they close at two. The pharmacy is able to show they have different hours because their lunch breaks. I'm pretty sure it can show that you close at 2 pm, reopen until 5, but only the office is open. Bars do it and show just the kitchen is open after hours, or the kitchen is closed during bar hours. Google isn't that inept, you are.
Pay for range time at 1pm, then get to rifle range, outdoor facility so you have to drive there. I start gathering my guns, targets, and ammo. RSO approaches and says they are doing their last target/range check and I won't have time to shoot because they close at 2. Then he says he's told the people in the office to stop selling range time after 1pm. Which they still do, knowing that I won't be able to shoot. Given the range was full already and no open benches. Who in the FUNK closes at 2pm.....? How much money do you lose because of this? Seriously, if the owner actually reads this. How much money do you think you lose in those three hours, or more, seeing how they are supposed to stop taking people in at $25 a person at 1pm. How many seats is the range, a dozen? Times by four hours. Shit, that's more than enough to justify the cost to keep those guys down there. Shucks, hire someone else who is willing to work for four hours. The gross revenue already justifies it. And if they are volunteers and they don't receive compensation, maybe give them some compensation and stay open later.
They'll sell you range time, knowing you won't be able to shoot that day. No refund, you get a "raincheck" to come another day. This place is a 30 min drive with no traffic. Probably far longer for others. I wasted at least an hour of my day going here, which I could have spent doing something else.
It's a great place, I had nothing but great feelings about it, until this visit.

If you change your hours you should update your website so the public dosen't waste their time driving to your range that is all ready closed.

Duck Tower at shotgun range has not worked since May. Frustrating since I have called ahead before and inquired about it most of the 30 times I have been there.
Sporting clays no longer exist here, I have heard it was solely because they could not find a volunteer to cashier for the event.
The volunteers/employees are usually busy and I think they have a lot of responsibilities. I don’t think they are allowed to/not sure how to alter the machines. Some do not know how the games are played, which in some ways is critical to safety and generally being interested in working there. Lots of newcomers shoot trap mainly because it doesn’t require any instruction to start, and the only people I have ever seen or shot skeet with have been shooting for 10-50 years.
Mainly discouraged by the lack of desire here for growth in shotgun sports. Trap/skeet is the largest growing high school sport in the US. Every other shotgun sports club within 30 miles feels like a community. This one feels like a “no bird”.

Quality group of people to start. Get in there today, get the kids developing positive life skills such as patience, discipline, comfort with weapons for target practice or hunting, promoting an active lifestyle outdoors to name a few. Tradition is a great American Value, let's keep it going !!

The RSO pulled out a tape measure to verify the barrel length for a lever action then proceeded to say “no mag dumps allowed”. Come shoot here if you guys want to meet the biggest losers in the 2A community
