What happened to Starbucks inside of this Safeway? while it appeared open when we walked in, serving others, when we came after our shopping and waited about 15 min, I feel like it was longer, for anybody to greet us, it was completely dead. Everything was on, lit up, displayed for sale, but no signs alerting us they were closed or on break. We stayed waiting, because I am an understanding person. Bathroom trip, phone call, something or anything could have been the reason. But it is alarming even more because the amount of time we waited and still nothing.

Kevin and the entire pharmaceutical staff are friendly and competent. Even when understaffed and overwhelmed during the Covid crisis. They are patient and treat each customer with dignity.

Used Walgreens pharmacy for years! When my insurance coverage disappeared after leaving an employer I started using GoodRX. Let me tell you it was at that moment I realized how disgustingly greedy Walgreens is. The rx's would be so wildly out of line with every other pharmacy it blew my mind. Safeways pharmacy is reliable, easy to work with and the team has always been very friendly. Their costs are much better as well. 10 out of 5 stars really.

I have been going to Safeway pharmacy for at least a few years now. The staff is phenomenal. Lead pharmacist, Kevin, is always so helpful in answering questions. He went above and beyond to help with tips on weight gain after I had lost a lot of it during an awful pneumonia. Even after I was improving (2-3 weeks following double antibiotic for two weeks), prescribed a short-dose of prednisone, and drank a lot of purchased protein shakes, I was LOSING more. He was looking into maybe a metabolic issue; asking me some questions to help him help me. Then he explained why homemade protein shakes would likely help more than store bought, and the science behind it. Also, less expensive too. He was 100% correct, and they did the trick. He called to let me know he researched a way to have insurance cover my medication (the one with more Tylenol) made a difference of over $100/month!Gina is doc wonderful too! She is always so kind and makes you smile too. The techs are wonderful as well. I have never had one issue. Even as busy as they are with multitasking vaccinations with prescriptions - they listen to any questions/concerns and treat everyone with care. Love them.

No appt necessary. Messages sent to me when rx is ready to pickup. I get my vaccines here. If I come in with rx there is a 15 to 20 minute wait while I shop. I definitely like the pharmacy, there services and staff.

I was very disappointed with the Deli dept. at this store. I ordered a couple of trays last Friday afternoon, for pick-up on Saturday afternoon, and was told they'd be ready. But of course, when I went in to pick them up Saturday afternoon, they had no record of my order. To add insult to injury, the deli clerk asked me if I was sure I had ordered them there. I mean, really? I'm in my 50's, and I'm no where near senile....yes I ordered them here! After explaining what the woman who took the order looked like and said to me, I was told that it was the Deli manager! So alright, people make mistakes, and she probably put my order form in her apron pocket or something, but this is the second time this has happened to me at this store. The first time they were very apologetic and gave me a discount for the error and inconvenience, but this time I was made to feel bad because I was told "it put extra work on the employee I was sorting this out with". Like it's my fault? So I had to go back a second time later that evening to pick up my trays, and received no discount, no nothing for having to make two trips to pick up trays I ordered in advance. Needless to say, I won't be ordering again from the Canyon Road Deli.

Terrible bakery customer service at the Canyon Road location. The bakery has no interest in helping you or taking cake orders. They require a 2 day notice unlike they other Safeway's who require only a 24 hour notice.??? They said that they are to busy! Tried to talk to the manager about their service, he was rude, completely disrespectful and had no desire to listen or address the problem! I called the 72nd Portland location who were happy to take the order.

this store sucks as do most of the safeways anymore, been going there for years and have spent a lot of money there but I know that means nothing anymore to a co. the store is like an overgrown qwik stop there prices are off the chart, they run sale adds but good luck finding the items they half way hide them or they have 2 on the shelf and run out, always with the fine print its limit 2 or must buy 4 or more or some kind of little fine print hustle, they constantly over charge and then tell me to go wait in line at the service desk to fix it,ask the checker what im actually paying for an item and the B.S. me and tell me it wont show until the transaction is completed, it rings up full price and adjusts it to the sale price after you enter your card # and pay, then when its not right oh well, go wait in line at the service desk and get some more sheety attitude, iff you catch the nice woman at the pharmacy your good to go but if you get the one man that works there expect a snotty unhelpful attitude depending on what your prescription is or if he like your hair do or whatever the heck his mood happens to be, if doesn't approve of the medication your doctor prescribes for you you really catch the snotty tude, claimed they were out of my meds, I ask when they might have them, big rude attitude and tells me he doesn't have anyway of knowing, might be up to 10 days, when I tell him that's not going to go well for me to go that long with out and ask if he has any suggestions, I really get the loud rude horrible attitude and he tells me I suppose youll just have to call around and see if you can find it but there nothing he can do about it etc etc etc, big deal for some blood pressure meds and the same thing with others for my wife. anyway Im gone and haven't been back and im sure safeway and there rude ess employees could care less, if you use this store I wish you luck

Only reason that's not a five star review is due to the lack of parking space. Seems like on any given day all year every year you must troll the lot like a vulture circling a carcass! The neighboring couple stores have private lots so the reason for the parking trouble is unknown. Butttt- I'm pleased to report after searching three stores I finally found chocolate fudge here and I cleaned them out- so sorry but now they too are without a single classic fudge in the bakery-but hey they have rocky road fudge!
