Omg I’m in love! What a lovely little gem of a studio. I’ve enjoyed every class I’ve taken so far. People are friendly and the instructors are great.

The wonderful thing about the Puyallup/South Hill area is there's lots of different places for women to go and workout. When Linda body shamed my size 6 figure, I cancelled my membership and joined another hot yoga studio. Loving this area I live in!

The studio is really nice and people working there are very nice. However, I'm not a fan of Linda's class. Too hot and too militant. It was 107 (I thought it wasn't supposed to got hotter than 106) degrees when we walked in and only got hotter as the practice went on. She never opened the doors and let the sun beam in. She told us to modify as needed so I did. Then she approached me as I was sitting on the bench after class when I was trying to recover and gave me a little lecture (useless as I was completely disassociated from the heat) about how never to do my "own thing" and just to lay down if I was too hot or tired. I would have clapped back had I not been recovering. I really didn't like being cornered when I was trying to cool down after a challenging class. Also, I'm not paying money to lay on the floor for an hour because the room is 110 degrees. Just because I can't handle those variations in the heat, doesn't mean I shouldn't be allowed to practice, IMO. I've been doing yoga for 15 years and I listen to my body. Ive never been asked not to "do my own thing". I've had 2 rotator cuff tears from boxing so I really need to mind my body. I'd love some respect on that. I think a good instructor can handle one person doing supine versions of standing poses or adding binds. Yoga is about balance and love, not controlling everyone's every move. That being said, I respect how she runs her class, but she needs to respect my cool down space and read body language. This was my first and only class and I liked the studio as a whole so I plan to come back and try a different instructor.

Love, love, love!!!! Prana is the most energetic yoga studio I have been to. The staff, and the yogis are inclusive and very welcoming to newcomers. I've been going since Dec 31st & just got home from a week long vacation, can't wait to get back into the studio tomorrow!

I absolutely love this place. I had never done hot yoga before. The instructors are very helpful and explain what they're doing and what's next. I'm almost 47. I'm so glad I tried something new.

I've been doing hot yoga for 10 years. This studio was SO hot that you could barely breathe. Even the floor was heated. Excessive and frankly not safe. I couldn't even finish the class. Literally the hottest yoga studio ever. Really not my cup of tea. Will not be back.

Enrolled at Prana for their Hot Yoga. Today was my first day. It was rough. (So much respect to these amazing people who make it look easy!) I struggled in every way - the moves, the heat, catching my breath - every way. Linda was the instructor. She was so gentle and kind and encouraging. The class was packed, yet she was incredibly mindful to provide me with beginner positions and walked me through my struggles while never pointing me out in front of the class. She was incredible and I look forward to coming back as I continue to get stronger, more flexible, and increase my endurance. Thank you, Linda, and thank you, Prana, for bringing newbies like me into the fold with a sincere and warm welcome.

Wanted to take a moment to thank Prana for their amazing classes and instructors. I moved from Puyallup to Tacoma recently and there is nothing like Prana that I have found in Tacoma.

I did not have a good experience here. I will not name the instructor, but I was not treated nicely but shamed for not being able to complete the class and I was told I couldn’t leave. I am not new to hot yoga, but the instructor was not calling out the instructions on the poses, like I’ve experienced in the past, but just said the name and expected you to go right into the pose. She was also not helpful with what modifications would be. I was looking around as inconspicuously as I could to try to follow along, but she told me I wasn’t supposed to look at others because it would make them uncomfortable ?If a class is going to be elite, it should be stated so. I made the mistake of buying a punch card before I tried this studio and have called the owner multiple times to get a refund for what I’m not going to use, but she is not returning my calls. I’m hoping she can make it right, because after that huge shaming I got in front of an entire class, I don’t want to go back! The studio itself was super clean and nice. I wish I didn’t have this experience! Awful!

Love this place so far. Money system is Way more Honest than other popular studios. Probably why it does so well. Classes are challenging which adds up to Results. Also the classes are traditional so far as opposed to other studios in the area. If you want a Hatha class you won't end up in a fusion class.. Love That.

Great place with a variety of instructors, including an eccentric one who thinks students should only hydrate and wipe sweat with her permission. I found it both exhilarating and demeaning. Loved everything else about this place. If you're looking for a dominatrix/yogi experience they've got one here. Along with a flotilla of less passionate and considerably more professional yoga instructors.
