If you've been to one you've been to them all for the most part. Never had any issues and the staff has always been Polite. They keep it clean, so that's a plus. Plenty of machines and free weights (minus barbells. That I noticed anyways) to choose from. Nobody messes with each other which is also nice.

Denied access:
On August 6, 2024, I had a black card membership, but my family members were denied access to the facility that day. My seventeen-year-old son wanted to work out but couldn't get in alone. I had to accompany him, but I had my eight-year-old with me before the incident. I took him to the waiting area and sat at a table while we went to the front desk to check my teen son in for his workout. However, the employee repeatedly told me that my eight-year-old could not be in the facility due to his age, despite my explaining that he would be with me, "would not be working out," or would be running around. At this point, I couldn't hold back my frustration, so I canceled my membership. I don't understand why family members cannot wait while others work out. If a husband is babysitting his baby and his wife is working out, it should be okay for the baby or minor to be in the facility.
I was there to accompany my son for his workout, and the employee kept telling me that my younger son couldn't be there. When I asked for the reason, she said he could hurt himself. I understood her concern, but I pointed out that the eight-year-old was not there to work out; he was with me while waiting for his brother to work out.
Finally, the employee realized that I wouldn't have my eight-year-old alone in the waiting area, and she said it was okay for me to stay with him while my older son worked out. I was already upset about being denied access. Right from the start, she had insisted that my son couldn't be in the facility. She should have asked me about the situation instead of making assumptions. I was sure this was a failed communication between the customer and the employee, but I was disappointed by how the employee handled the issue.
Note: In my experience, I noticed other kids waiting in the waiting area for their parents or sitting with other adults, which is why I brought my younger son with me that day. I thought sitting in the area while our family was working out was okay. I was babysitting, and I felt mistreated. I do not want to go back as a member again. Thank you for your BEST and WORST experience. I will go somewhere else that professionally treats their customers. My family likes Planet Fitness Gym because it is not too crowded and is not smelly, but after this incident, I will be happy to pay more and be treated with respect in another gym.

I have cancelled my membership the club still has the cancellation pending for over a month & the keep charging me
The managers & staff are Scam Artist its repugnant how they refuse to take accountability & refuse to cancel the membership its been over a month & these people are rude and the gym is unkempt & filthy. Shelby Murray does not deserve any respect as she repeatedly hides & ignores anyone that wants to cancel a membership or speak to her, She should be fired immediately for predatory tactics & being incompetent at her job.
The issue was for several weeks in the mens shower there was a fecal matter stain in the second shower on the wall & it took several weeks for staff to clean, aside from that they have billing issues & charge late fees that are incongruent with actual accurate billing times, they will not resolve anything & pass the bucket to banks instead of having any of resolving late fees due to operation errors on their end. It is just a turn around constantly even if you present documentation on the matter.
Some staff are friendly others give side eyes judgmental looks.

First for this being one of the first PF in the area it still hasn't seen any type of machine update since day one. These machines seem to be behind when it comes to what is more current. I've been to a lot of different ones and some updating would do this location a lot of justice.

I'm going to cancel my membership if the management and corporate don't reach out to me in a timely manner.
I was there at 5am this morning and left at 6:15am because no one showed up to open the gym. This has happened several times at this location and even the Pearl St. location in Tacoma. As far as I know it's almost 7am and it's still not open.
I had to drive from Frederickson just to sit there for an hour and then drive back home wasting time and gas. This also affected my schedule for the day, there's a reason I was there at 5am, it was the only time I could workout today.
I expect a call from management and for corporate to reach out as well. This is not acceptable. Again, I will cancel if this isn't resolved and I'm not compensated for this inconvenience.

Love this place, except on Sunday mornings when you are sitting in the parking lot waiting to workout. The gym is supposed to open at 5, it’s 5:45 and once again the opener is late.
Outside of that it’s the cleanest gym with the best staff.

They are only open for 5 hours a day now! 5pm to 10pm is Not acceptable. I was told there is new owners and now they have also turned all the lights up like it's a 7-11 in the Black card room for relaxation with massage beds. This is a horrible idea! Change the lighting back to low and Increase your hours like other Planet Fitnesses that are open at least by 12 noon for lunch time workouts..btw the Men working the front desk are super friendly and helpful as try to make sure to address all needs.

Large Gym, Veteran Front parking wifi works, only issue is tht the parking lot has weird, loud ppl come out at night fall time [believe this because of the $1 Tree & Loose Wheel Bar & Grill next door) other than tht PLEASE clean ur lockerrooms +bathrooms & yall will be [squared] away. & give ur Mili.Vet Sign some TL C..? U know covid wasn't tht long ago.

Yes place is clean , but they charge 20 dollars if they run your card and the funds aren't available at the time , not very great machines. The host I spoke to customer service was not very helpful. Anytime I've gone to location they are more into hanging with co workers than they are with greeting or goodbyes. The location on 96th and pacific is a way better location.
