I have severe osteoarthritis in my right hand - it's painful and has gotten progressively worse but I am managing with meds and rest. Dr. Riel has been great and will be performing the surgery as soon as my high blood stabilizes and gets better. My Multicare primary doctor recently prescribed new meds for me.I had to cancel my upcoming surgery for now and spoke to Jane (..Dr. Riel's scheduler) and she was very kind, caring and empathetic about my current health situation. It made me feel good that the people who work at this office, like Jane, care about patients like myself. Multicare is awesome - God bless everyone!

I had an appointment at 1:10 today and when I got to the appointment, the receptionist was very very unhelpful. She said I didn't have an appt. with the dr. I was livid! I have my appt. card and it was appointed for 1:15 on 7/3/23. Someone ***up and I was humiliated and the next appt. they had available was on 8/2. My hand was in excruciating pain and I went to a walk in which I waited over 3 hours. I am sick and tired of getting the runaround. No morals or values or real customer service. 2 is generous!

I was referred here by Good Sam hospital to evaluate me in 5 days for a fracture in my wrist. The doctor decline to see me and said to see my pcp and to get another referral. It makes no sense at all! I will never go here in the future.

I am surprised at the poor reviews here since I have such a good experience going to Multicare Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. I have been going for several years mostly for arthritis. I usually see Theresa Schreiber, who is wonderful. I have had x-rays, surgeries, and injections in my hands and all these were done easy and helpful way. The office staff have been friendly and extremely helpful. Especially when I lost my insurance and they helped me get help through Multicare to pay for my appointments.

Two week follow up after surgery with Dr. Wyman. Severe pain, I was asked how physical therapy is going?? PT should of been started 3 days after surgery but I had no knowledge of anything. Finally two weeks later they got me scheduled. Feel like I'm just a number and not a patient. Get em in get em out. Multi care contacted me and is asking for more information and I will gladly give it.

The doctor there are great but the scheduling staff need remedial training. On 2 separate occasions they screwed up my referral. The first time they called me and said their x ray machine was broken and would need for me to go to an outside x ray office before my appointment. I scheduled the appointment as requested. When I checked in for the X-ray the location told me they had not received a referral for the X-ray. So I paid multicare orthopedics a visit in person. The front desk admitted that they should have sent the referral over but did not. They printed it off for me after about 10 minutes and I was asked to get my X-ray and press on. Fast forward another week the orthopedic doctor wanted another appointment to ensure the healing process is still on track. I got another phone call on Friday prior to a Monday afternoon appointment to get the X-ray again just like before. I called to schedule the appointment. Again the referral had not been sent over. Both the contracted clinic and I called Multicare to request the referral. They sent the one week old referral not the current one. So the I waited for about 45 minutes past my appointment time for a 10 minute visit.

After waiting for 3 months for my appointment, they told me that they don't have the appropriate results and so the doctor won't see me and that I have to reschedule...I rescheduled and called at the day of my appointment and they told me again that they still don't have the appropriate results so I cancelled my appointment and I wrote this review...Basically, they don't really care about their patients and that people are in pain out there.

I’ve been extremely disappointed with the Puyallup Multicare orthopedics as a whole. After reinjuring a knee I had previously had ACL surgery on I went the Puyallup Multicare Orthopedic center for help. First thing I was told was that since my knee had been worked on previously was that no one would want to operate on me since “it’s someones else’s work”... Well the Dr who operated on me before isn’t in this state anymore. Then with an MRI in hand they couldn’t tell me anything about my knee I hadn’t already assumed, couldn’t even tell me if my ACL was retorn or not. So they tell me to go to therapy for 3 weeks and come back, well 3 weeks later Dr is on vacay for 3 weeks. So I finally get back in again almost 3 months after my injury. Dr looks at my knee and decides my ACL is fine so more rehab is the answer and leaves. I’ve torn my acl before and even if my ACL is fine my knee is more messed up then ever but since the ligaments seem fine everything else must be fine... if you have had a previous injury I would not recommend this office.
