I rented from here early August and am just getting around to posting my opinion. My experience with this place was excellent! I had booked a rental the day before, and the gentleman at the desk was extremely polite! I was able to use a really nice car too!Thank you for the great experience. I hope to use you guys again!

Very very helpful, beyond my expiation I was in a car incident, this location work harder on helping me get through this difficult car rental coverage then my own insurance company staff was extremely helpful I will do all my rentals from this Puyallup location and 149th THE BEST!

Car was really dirty. Smelled like a dog with pet hair and dirt visible everywhere. The lady I rented it from was nice. Really great and helpful.The guy at the counter was rude. Talking to people with a cigarette in his ear. Upon returning they were closed. 12:20. Went on my maps and it showed open. No sign on the door saying closed. No key drop available and guy was rude. I understand people need lunch breaks but this is a business. There should be a key drop. Seeing the current reviews I wouldn’t be shocked if this location closes down. Given the way the guy handles customers, I’m surprised they’re not now.

Worst rental experience I have ever had. The van we requested wasn't available until 36 hours later-- and then they wanted to charge me for a non weekly rate since I would have the van for 4 days instead of 5. Then when we returned it, they wanted to charge us for an extra day and an extra $400 for not vacuuming out the van. Badly done on all parts.

Came here to rent a car and not even 1 car ,truck, van, to be rented. Zero inventory stock but a habdful of broken cars needing fixing.

Terrible experience. I rented a car online, and while sudden, was promised and secured a car online.When I went in, they told me they didn’t have a car for me and that the online system was wrong. Instead of helping me there I was given a pamphlet with a number to call. No customer help, or trying to fix the problem. Just a sorry and a pamphlet. I wouldn’t recommend this company to my worst enemy.

Service here is Terrible! The first time I rented from them, went to go pick up and no cars available… The 2nd time around was even worse…. Reserved a rental 2wks in advance and when it was time to pick up, same outcome ??♂️… no cars available and was told the earliest they can get one is 12pm (pick up was for 8am)…. Stay away from this location, they are garbage!

Made a reservation through my insurance and called the office on 3/28 to be picked up the morning of 4/5- everything went smoothly. I arrived this morning to be told they attempted to call yesterday and didn’t get an answer. When I asked if there was a voicemail as I had no record of a call or a voicemail in my call log Kelsey told me “it answered and hung up right away” and didn’t attempt to call again. Apparently this resulted in my rental being cancelled, and they told me they would put me on a waitlist but had no idea when a car would be available, regardless of the fact that i had a reservation that THEY cancelled without contact. Kelsey had an attitude the entire time, and didn’t offer so much as an apology for the inconvenience. I understand sometimes things happen but the customer service was the worst i’ve dealt with.

My car was in an accident, and I had a car reserved @ Hertz by my insurance company for I'll say two weeks in advance. I dropped my car off at the Body shop then went to pick-up my rental (because apparently 5 miles was out of their drop off zone) only to find out that they did not have anything for me! There was no communications that there was an issue securing my reservation what so ever! Not to mention this is happening on a Friday, and their office is closed on the weekends I could've very well been without car to get back and forth to work with. They could've cared less " maybe we'll have a drop off around 3pm", "Maybe"I called Enterprise and was greeted with overwhelmingly great customer service, secured a nice mid-sized SUV, and was on the road in less than an hour! My advice would be to stay away from Hertz, and Far Far away from the So. Hill Puyallup location!

Dishonest and misleading. I was rear ended by someone and so was told I could have a rental replacement car to use while mine was being repaired. Yeah, well except that they didn't have any cars- they were all rented. So a couple days later the person who works behind the desk calls me and asks if a Cherokee would do. I went and got the jeep and had to side step all of the extra charges ... I thought. After returning the vehicle and with no notification thereof they charged my credit card $550. I was told that the vehicle was being paid for by the insurance. Yeah except for the 'up grade' charge for the Cherokee. I was never informed about this and when I expressed that the person said I was a liar. Why would I ever pay for an insurance replacement vehicle that is free? The reality of the situation is that Hertz knowingly and intentionally ripped me off for $550. And the insurance company told me it is commonplace with them. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!Just needed to add to this, contacted Hertz customer support and received a response saying that they were going to look into the matter. It's been a month almost with no response. No response. They said two days not including weekends. So apparently they decided that it was best not to look into the matter at all and sweep it under the rug where it belongs. So what does that say about integrity?Update: All of the supposed help from their corporate office was of no use. And from this I learned that they know exactly what they are doing and absolutely approve of this dishonesty

If you don't know this I hope it helps. If you make a vehicle reservation more than 24 hours ahead you have to have a large deposit. Thanks for NOT having that on the website ANYWHERE! I had to have the rental to go to my son's senior night basketball game and now have to miss it. Thanks for NOTHING

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Anthony at this Hertz location. He was very kind, understanding and informative. He went above and beyond to help us through a stressful situation with insurance and I would give 10 stars if I could. Thank you!
