Ruined my frames, installed poorly calibrated lenses. Then when I complained and asked for a replacement for my ruined frames was told that it was my fault for reusing frames rather than buying them new.The frames are no longer sold so they basically just destroyed my glasses and made me pay for the pleasure.

After an appointment the frame got damaged in the lab and they didn’t inform us and we went 2weeks later to get information and they told us that the frame got damaged and we needed to pick out a different frame.

Sean helped me get my contacts order today and was quick, kind, and helped me know how I could get the most from insurance coverage and a rebate. I had a great experience overall!

Bad customer service, very rude and inpatient old lady at the desk, I don’t recommend this place to anyone and will never go back again!

Saw doctor Nathan Gorham. I’ve had negative experiences at the Lacey/Tumwater Costco optical but Nathan was awesome. Got in and out in like 20min. I explained to him my concerns and having gotten bad prescriptions before from doctors who tried to give me contacts for my astigmatism (but they never work as good as the ones without). He tried a few different things and then gave me the perfect prescription. He went through the images with me afterword and taught me some new things about the eyes. Great experience overall and great customer service. They also have forms for people with VSP insurance so you can get reimbursed for your appointment.

Those receptionists are cold and unprofessional. We feel unwelcome when we go there because of them. I have no idea who they think they are. We ain’t going back. ?

Wow! After reading similar experiences in the negative...I will not repeat any visit! How can Costco continue to allow them in their business? Why isn't Costco concerned?

Customer Service is not good. I've been a Costco member for over 40 years. They would not give me an estimate of cost. They said they had to ring it up first!! That is unacceptable. My trip to my happy place turned into a nightmare

Bad service! Bad policy or lying on commission agent... We went to Costco to compare prices with others when purchasing glasses, their selection of frames was not impressive...then when we asked for pricing the clerk was disinterested in helping us unless she pulled her prescription, then told us in the same sentence if she pulled the prescription, it would void it with her insurance, and we would have to fill it through her... 2 things with that, how is pulling a prescription and not filling it going to void a person's insurance coverage for glasses? It won't...at most it would require a call to the insurance to correct... Before we asked for a price, we were told lens are always the same price $99...How is it you can't give me prices on the total cost of glasses when you tell me that prescription doesn't matter Lens are all $99... Bad employee, and bad service. When we shopped around there was a lot better selection for the same or less money (we assume since Costco could only quote us pieces not a whole pare) in another optometrist. As with many things Costco, DON'T fall for their lies, just like canned goods, the optometrist is overpriced! Don't shop at Costco Optical!

I had an emergency eye care. They agreed to schedule an appointment in 30 minutes when I gave them a call. The optometrist listened to me, examed and then explained me all the details of my problem. Very nice people and the charge was fair. I'd recommend this place

My wife had an exam done where she was belittled by Dr. Leung. Your job is to provide professional services to your patients, not disrespectfuly talk down to them. "I'm your Dr, not your friend, I don't care if you like me or not" seriously? We will not be coming back and I do not suggest anyone to make an appointment here.

Walk in and ask if they have appts available, the little girl said " yes". My dad walked in. I handed over my credit card and cistco card fir eye apot and within 30seconds she said no she had to schedule. Um, why didn't you just say that to me 30deconds ago? Do you really need to say 2 different things? Fine. Never go that route. Save your time and money.

I’ve been going to the Oikos Eye Care within this Costco for almost 5 years and it has never been a pleasant experience. The optometrist Dr. Donald Leung is very textbook and word-for-word says the same thing at every single appointment. My 11-year-old son recently began wearing glasses and Dr. Leung began using the same terminology with my son as he always done with me. My son has sensory processing issues and struggled a bit with the lights in his eyes and I had to address the doctor when he told my son he was being dramatic. There’s also the pressure to purchase the extra digital imaging and there’s a bit of an attitude when you refuse the service.I recently went to a specialist regarding some eye pain and she informed me that my contacts prescribed by Dr. Leung were way too tight. When I called Oikos to request a new appointment the front staff was very rude and almost accusatory, as though I had prescribed my contacts myself.I’m going to try a new Costco optical location and hope for the best. However, it is very inconvenient to have to drive further from my home just to receive quality and efficient care.

Dr. Crockett is the best Optometrist I've had since I started wearing glasses 47 years ago. He always takes the time to give you some insights (no pun intended) from his many years of experience. Please don't retire!!!
