Ray did repairs on my granddaughter's car. Running like new again. He went above and beyond what was expected. He couldn't find a certain part at local dealerships and auto parts but finally located one in Arlington. He drove up to Arlington on a Saturday and in the rain, pulled the part out of another similar vehicle. His prices are very reasonable. Very friendly. Informative. He knows his stuff. He shows you what he did to your car. Ivan, his only mechanic, is very knowledgeable and is tireless. He gets things done expeditiously. Highly recommended.

If they cut in line for fast food and "cut corners" to get to where they need to go they can't be trusted. Horrible driving experience with them in the drive thru in the company car. SMH who goes thru the exit in a truck and can't even clear the turn just to get ahead of someone else. Ewwwwwww food ain't going nowhere. OLDER TRUCK. Like a f150 or something.

Extremely trustworthy folks here! I decided to get an second estimate here as I went to another shop and their quote to repair my truck seemed really high. Cooksey's went above and beyond to explain everything, their quote was extremely reasonable and they were able to get me in within a couple days. I can't say good enough things about this shop-They seem busy and professional. Don't let the lack of reviews fool you, they are solid folks!Service: Electrical repair

Excellent service! Honest, transparent, experienced and best price we found. He walked us through the entire process as he had time. He was Recommended to us by another local mechanic who didn’t provide the service we needed.

Charged me 200$ over the original quote. Said it was because he forgot to include the alignment? Because I didn't know any better. The next time I had car trouble I called and it just felt shady he left his quote open to charge me more and that was just for a diagnostic check to find the problem. Took it to car clinic and the were straight up fast and friendly plus they're diagnostic check what's half the price

I had an appalling experience with the owner of Cooksey's Auto Repair. His behavior would deter anyone I know from doing business with him, so I'll describe it in case it helps others.I walk through his parking lot on the way to the train (before and after business hours). This morning I caught a late train and he saw me, then yelled to me not to walk on his parking lot. I was perplexed, but said, "Well, okay, but this means I can't bring you my business." (I had been planning to bring my car there, since it would be so convenient.) He said that's fine, and I started to walk away. He then yelled after me the foulest name I have ever been called. I have not omitted anything; nothing else occurred before his verbal assault. All I can think is that he is very sensitive to losing business; I can see why.I am, in case it matters, an older and professionally dressed woman. I can't imagine anyone doing business with this man.Not that anyone wants to read about someone else's unpleasant experiences, but I have a penchant for truth, and Cooksey's response is inaccurate.First, I was not late; I simply was catching a slightly later train, which meant that Cooksey had arrived by then to start opening things up. Normally he was not there yet when I walked across the lot each morning. It did not occur to me that a business person would not want someone walking on their parking lot. The lot was not remotely unsafe, and there were no cars coming or going at all.Second, I did not threaten him in any way. I simply stated the fact, in a pleasant tone of voice, that it would not be possible for me to bring him my business if I was not allowed to walk on his parking lot. It is ludicrous to think that a quite large middle-aged man used to handling cars and trucks would feel threatened by a small, nicely dressed older woman stating a simple fact in a soft voice.Third, I did not "climb over a 4-foot fence." After he called me the name I did not respond at all; I simply continued on the diagonal I had been traveling, the fastest course to get away from him, which included slipping easily over a low guard rail at the very end of the lot. That had nothing to do with Cooksey at all. It is also the way I'd been going for a long time before this event occurred. I was already halfway across the parking lot; it would not have made sense, or helped Cooksey get rid of me faster, if I had gone back to the starting point and crossed the lot in a northerly direction to reach the sidewalk (which, by the way, just begins along there; everyone parking along the road takes a dirt path that leads directly into Cooksey's lot).

Been taking my vehicles here for 15+ years. Ray has always helped me understand what is going on with my cars and can usually fit me same day or next day.
