I recently had the pleasure of visiting Bolton's Bike Shop, and I cannot praise Mr. Bolton's exceptional service and honesty enough. My daughter's bike had a broken chain, and I had received recommendations from other bike stores to replace it, which would have cost me over $100.However, Mr. Bolton had a different approach. He took a look at the bike, assessed the problem, and within just 15 minutes, skillfully fixed the broken chain, saving me a significant amount of money. What truly impressed me was his integrity and genuine concern for his customers. He refused to accept any payment for the quick repair job, insisting that all he wanted was for me to spread the word about his excellent work and his bike shop.In the end, I insisted on giving him a token of my appreciation, and he graciously accepted a mere $20. Mr. Bolton's kindness, expertise, and commitment to providing honest service left a lasting impression on me. I wholeheartedly recommend Bolton's Bike Shop to anyone in need of bicycle-related services. It's not just a bike shop; it's a place where customers are treated with respect and fairness. Thank you, Mr. Bolton, for your outstanding service and for going above and beyond to help us out.

Bolton and The Preston Bike Shop couldn’t get a higher review rating from me! He was professional, kind, attentive and a joy to work with. I took my sons bike that needed a couple of repairs and tune up for a quote to the local “higher end” bike shop where we purchased the bike. They had the nerve to quote me 4 times the amount and added every single “extra” they could think of. Extras that were absolutely NOT necessary or needed. Exactly $50 more than a brand new bike! I was beyond taken for a swindle!!However, Bolton being the honest, high integrity and very experienced business owner that he is… Saved the day!! I not only thank him for his hard work but consider him a new friend. Keep it up Bolton because you’re a model of business excellence!

Brought my sons bike in for some brake work. I didn't get the owners name but he was responsive and got it done same day. Most of the other shops told me they wouldn't even work on a bike I didn't buy from them.

Best wrench I have ever seen, and I been breaking bikes since 1976.Bolton did really high end work on my low end bike, which had me ride the heck out of it, and his series of "cheap and cheerful" solutions, allowed me to afford some key upgrades he recommended, that have delivered excellent bang for the buck, in both performance and durability.Now that I ride much fancier gear, his keen eye for delivering value for money, has allowed me to run what feels like a much pricier bike, which other shops keep wanting to sell me.He does a lot of high end work for the riders of the really nice stuff, and spectacular OCD vintage restores, as well.Always a treat to visit the shop, pet the shop cat, and dig the bitchin' vintage house party stereo, and see what the latest in the vintage boneyard will deliver, for the next cool spec build.

I brought my son’s bike after the back wheel got warpped. Bolton ordered a new wheel for me and replaced the old wheel. He kept his word with me all the way, there was no surprises. The bike got fixed, on time, with good quality and cost. I highly recommend Bolton.

Had a full service done on my bike because there was a delay when I would shift. Bolton said it needed a new derailleur and cables. He installed them and said come pick up the bike anytime. He wasn't there for the next week and was impossible to get on the phone to find a time to pick up the bike. I finally picked it up and $350 later it still does exactly the same thing. On top of that out of nowhere he launched into a political diatribe. He should keep his political opinions to himself or at least let it be known up front so you can choose not to do business with him.

After driving past this business for years, I finally dropped by this week with derailleur issues on two bikes. Bolton instantly earned trust as he quickly spotted an installation safety issue on one of the two recently purchased bikes. He repaired it without even asking. From there he assessed both bikes, received a thumbs-up from me to replace the parts, ordered the parts, and quickly installed them the next day. Great price, easy process, super cool and unique business owner. Can't wait to go back for future upgrades and repairs. Strongly recommend your supporting this business.
