Cannot say enough about all the staff that care for Mama and my daily visiting father. The tremendous care and hearts they have for their residents is astounding and such a blessing. When mom got taken to the hospital, they visit, bring dad breakfast and coffee and hugs and signed caring notes from them all. Means so much. They are family now and deserve so much. Thank you Martha and Mary staff.??✝️??✝️

Worked here years ago and understand nothing much has changed. If you love your elderly family members .. do NOT put them in nursing homes. Majority are nothing more then geriatric warehouses and patients are neglected and abused daily.

I used to work here and I have some loves and some hates about this place.I LOVED some of the staff, when you're lucky to find the rockstars or get you or your loved one put under their care you really do receive treatment like a loved one. Then there are the few that I question why they work there at all. And if you ever get saddled with those ones I'm so very sorry. It's a cute spot, all in all staff is friendly and pretty efficient. With of course the few bad seeds that make other peoples jobs harder than they already are.I hope things have gotten better since I last worked there years ago. Even with a loved one of my own being a patient I'm sad to see there's still much room for improvement here.I will not be admitting my relatives here ever again. This isn't the first time I've had a bad experience not just as an employee but as a family member to a patient. Those few bad apples really do have more of an impact than i wish they did on the many wonderful people who work there. But the inconsistency that really doesn't make me feel like i can trust this place anymore, and it makes me sad to be honest.Wishing them the best, and i hope no one has to experience this and i truly hope they get the turn around this place needs. Especially for the amazing people there who deserve it.

Here in spring of 2021 (FINALLY!), I look back and give thanks for the staff and management of Martha and Mary's foresight in following strict guidelines to keep COVID infections to an impressive low by all standards. My Father was there through the entire 'pandemic and we felt he had the best chance of avoiding infection, given his circumstances, because of management's decisions'.From the start, masks and distance were MANDATORY for all. As things went from bad to worse, Martha and Mary screened employees daily then management made the tough decision to close visits down while others still quibbled .Gotta' admit, that hurt. We knew any day could be his last and like many across the country his last days could be alone.By the end of 2020, my dad and his fellow patients were among the first in in WA to get their shots and today visits are a pleasure (visitors still wear masks while the recovering don't have to).If you can afford more "one on one" care in a more modern facility by all means look into that for you and yours. We could not afford that and feel that the folks at MM use caring to make up for much of the other stuff and we the family get to pitch in on the edges. The staff is great to us when we visit. The location is a great place to take your loved one for a walk through old fashioned Poulsbo and get fresh air and sunshine (seasonal of course).Cheers

I was pretty sick for awhile there, and the care was wonderful! God in his Grace blessed me with an almost miraculous recovery of my lucidity, brains, and cognitive memory.

Warm atmosphere with caring staff. Occasionally have staffing problems as all nursing homes do but they work together as a team so patients are cared for. Remodel is complete on Marina Unit. Smooth flooring and walls have increased sound level.

Dec. 21st 2018 will be a year that my mom passed away @ Martha & Mary in Poulsbo. She was at Martha & Mary for about a year, My mom had early dementia so she needed 24 hour care. Sadly she did not have a good experience with the nurses there, I was not aware that she was suffering, she was unable to communicate this to us, I felt something wasn't right though so I started going to see her at different times day & night. We would find her in her wheel chair in her room soaked in urine, the floor wet. She wasen't showered often, Other times her t.v was full blast to me this seemed to be so they wouldn't hear her screaming, the tv was so loud that I could hear in from the entrance, (this was at night) I complained to the nurses but there was always an excuse. This was also brought to the attention of h.r and the ceo of Martha & Mary which then had a meeting with my daughter and me, the head of nurses, and nurses, my daugther asked the nurse what their treatment was when mom would act out, they had no answer, not much changed. This will always hurt me thinking I was doing good by my mother having her at this facility, where I thought she would be well taken care of, when in reality she was suffering more than when she was living in her house.
