Glad a reasonable alternative still exists in PT. Too bad the hours have been cut down.

You can trust Dr. Sherwood to do a great job. We brought our puppy to him for all her vaccinations, checkups, and to be spayed. Dr. Sherwood is a top-notch professional. His office is small and not fancy, but that's because he isn't getting people to pay for things they don't need.

Dr. Sherwood gets right to the point and I feel assured that he gives me the facts right away.

Our visit to Dr. Sherwood's office is something that my husband and I should share with anyone looking for a vet. We highly recommend that those in need of veterinary services for their pets pass this one up, unless Dr. Sherwood's total lack of communication skills, non-existent professional manner and propensity to rudeness are not an issue. This was our first visit and because we mentioned the medications that our dogs had been prescribed in another state, he told us that he could not possibly prescribe those medications without a "thorough' work up. The fact that he had our dogs' records from their previous vet was not enough, according to him, since they weren't "official" records. He said he could not prescribe the same medicines that our dogs were on without doing that new work up, and yet when I told him we did not even need those meds yet, he talked over me, insisting that he could loose his license for prescribing them and that I wouldn't find any vet who would do that for us. We came home, called another vet's office and told a member of the staff what happened and they said we should have no problem getting their medications at their upcoming appointment in two days. Perhaps the reader is wondering what type of drugs we were trying to score for our dogs: some eye drops and senility medication.

Good for bare bones vaccines. If your pet needs real veterinary care have a back up plan. Go to a real vet. He took my money for 12 years then when it was time to put my dog down he told me to take it to the pound.
