The Rose Theatre (1907) is a charming and unique movie venue that stands out for its historic ambiance and passionate dedication to providing a high-quality experience. It offers a mix of current Hollywood films and independent movies, with options like popcorn with real butter. The theatre features different rooms, including the original theater, the Rosebud (a smaller space), and the Starlight, which uses old chairs and couches, creating a cozy and nostalgic atmosphere. Visitors often describe it as the best theatre they've ever experienced, praising its renovations that preserve the vintage look without modernizing its charm. The theatre exudes a sense of community, especially during intimate matinee screenings that feel like a social gathering. With great service, a limited but special film selection, and a passion for film lovers, the Rose Theatre is a must-visit destination in Port Townsend.
You can feel the passion for providing a high quality and unique movie watching experience, when you walk in the door - charming and fun! We will be back!

Love the Rose Theatre. It has the original theater plus the Rosebud (a smaller version) and the Starlight (uses old chairs and couches). They have a nice mix of current Hollywood and independent movies. The popcorn has REAL BUTTER as an option. It's worth the trip

The daytime matinee (4pm) was wonderful in the special room. It felt like a Sundance fest from 20 years ago, an intimate and social community of fellow moviegoers (about 20 years older than me). It's a special cinema for lovers of films (both indie and major). Loved it.
