“Lots to say! First of all.. the staff is very caring and sweet and informative and attentive.. brightwheel is great, though starting a new daycare they dont use it because they dont want the teachers distracted… which may be very important difference, so my experience:
My 2 year old was here around 6 months, he never bit before and got bit a few times, badly here.. the other kid was allowed to stay, and then my som became the biter, he bit everyone and everywhere he went, at the ymca at church at daycare.. he learned to bite there and would never stop. It may have been the attention he receieved when he bit, if they used a higher more stern voice and grabbed him, or if there was the brightwheel distraction stopping prevention..or just unable to always remove from group when it happens.. im not sure, i know they tried, but something wasnt working.. so i pulled him because it was sort of ruining our life.. now at new daycare he rarely bites, so theres something different and more helpful they are doing there..
My son gets overstimulated easily and takes everything he sees to the next level/extreme. So the loud noise of the other kids screaming/running around and the music being played (not a good idea for music in an already overstimulating environment) made him really unhappy sometimes. Some weeks he would do great but always resorted back to extreme frustration and violence. It was a yoyo where he would do good for weeks and then go back to violence.. so its hard to know exactly what the problem was/is
I do know the staff cares a lot and is very helpful and informative and wanting to work with the child and parent but when it comes to biting or violence there is just something they are lacking? Idk i know the age group kids do bite but maybe should have kicked out the excessive biter before it spread? I will say, its a church so they try to keep the cost low, but you cant sacrifice quality for quantity . They do tons of great activites and crafts and it made me happy seeing all the updates and crafts my son made. He did also have a lot of fun.
My son did great outside, the outside section is huge and all the kids love it and get sunlight and fresh air and thats a HUGE plus , we’ve not gone to another daycare sooner because the other outdoor looked like a prison for only 20 minutes a day. But at little doves they go outside as much as possible and thats so so important for kids. Being indoors all day will destroy a child, its SOOO important. New daycare has nice outdoor as well..
Its hard to pinpoint exact fault but it is telling that he stopped at new daycare!
***(..Another thing is, at the time i didnt know lutheran churches were very liberal, i would have never put my child in an environment of false teachings of bible.. come as you are but leave more like christ) in todays age its more important than ever to not distort gods word.. part of me wonders if my son didnt do well there because it wasnt spiritually a good spot . **”

“Best PK my son has gone to. As he is approaching kindergarten I’m a bit sad that I didn’t know about Tiny Notes until summer of last year. They are so patient and work well with my autistic son. They actually gave him a chance where many places may not have. I would 100% recommend families to this facility.”
“We have been so blessed to experience this community. I can not say enough amazing things about this center and how much they have done and will continue to do in the lives of little ones and families they serve. I have four children who have attended their center, and one who is still currently there. Staff is consistent and they don't seem to have a turnover at all. Which has made transitions from classroom to classroom comfortable and easy for both my little ones and I. Amy keeps a clean center and genuinely cares about not only the kids but the families as well. She follows state guidelines and procedures to make sure that the best care is being given at all times. Her staff is full of joy and you can see she carefully picked them with care so that every child is getting their needs met and nurtured at her center. They communicate with families consistently so that any concerns, milestones, and exciting things are known to the families in the program. They have field trips during the summer for the older classes to help keep the summer exciting and engaging when us parents are still needing to work and might not be able to do all of these things outside of the weekend. My children go in excited to see not only their friends but the staff that cares for them. My older children that go during the summer for care miss them over the school year and are eager to go back and see Ms. Amy and her staff. I could go on and on about how much this center has blessed us and how it has surpassed any experience I have had with childcare in my ten years of parenting, but I know it will be seen and felt by anyone who enters the doors. If you are trying to decide on a center where you will have a piece of mind that your children are safe, loved, nurtured, and being prepared for kindergarten this is the place for you.”
