The game itself is great, how can you go wrong with throwing axes? BUT, the only employee working was overwhelmed, slow, and unaware of how to do her job. Waiver QR code doesn’t work, must have a phone to use the URL for the waiver. They do not have paper copies of the waivers, this would have made our entry much smoother. We had a group of 10. She wanted to put our group in lanes with a wall in between, not allowing to view the other bay…I asked to use different bays so we can all be together, she had no problem with this suggestion, thank you. The cost per person is too much ($30) and 75 minutes is not needed. Go with a lower price and shorter time for rental of the bay. Two employees should be working to handle the larger groups so the one employee isn’t overwhelmed.

Staff was very friendly, the venue was really nice and accommodating to us after we made a mix up, besides the obvious axe throwing there were a few games outside the throwing cages so everyone had something to do, you get 75 minutes per session which is more than enough time

Very fun, and as a former baseball player, a little harder than I expected! It evens the playing field for those who may not have played as many throwing sports. The games are fun, our favorite was tic tac toe! Although it's only two player, it adds a layer of tension or stress knowing if you don't stick your axe the opponent has a free chance!

Great place to have some fun!! We were having a hard time at first, asked and the staff gave us some tips to throw better. We figured it out and enjoyed throwing at zombies, played connect four, and classic target practice. We will be returning in the future!!

The experience was just okay at best. It seems that everything past the axe throwing lanes was just an after thought. when arriving, my first thought was not "wow, this place is cool". Zero atmosphere, no real amenities, and the axes were dull. If you are going to charge $30 per person for 1hr 15 mins, at least do something that makes the place look like you're actually invested in people enjoying your business.

never open. management is extremely rude and horrible to employees. none of the staff looked happy to be there on the rare occasions I have seen it open. the staff treated me well. the biggest problem is just the management and how awful they are.

Okay, you asked for it.Title: Mixed Experiences at PenaxI visited Penax in Port Orchard twice, each visit presenting a different experience. The place boasts a fun environment with a variety of games which provided a lively atmosphere, perfect for a casual outing. However, there were some aspects that could use improvement.1. Ax Throwing Experience:- One of the downsides was the dullness of the axes provided which made the experience less enjoyable. The policy of not being allowed to bring personal axes might be a setback for enthusiasts.2. Staff Interaction:- During our first visit, we encountered a staff member at the front desk who was rude, unhelpful, and engaged in inappropriate conversation which was quite off-putting. However, on our second visit, it seemed like the management had addressed the issue as the staff was more organized and the manager was present to oversee operations.3. Management:- The presence of the manager during our second visit made a notable difference in the service quality. It felt like the place was better organized compared to our first visit.4. Fun Factor:- Despite the drawbacks, the variety of games available made our time enjoyable. The lively ambiance of the place adds to the fun factor and is a good spot for a casual hangout.5. Recommendation:- I would rate Penax a 3 out of 5 stars. The place has potential but could greatly benefit from sharpened axes and consistent, professional customer service. It's a fun spot but there's room for improvement to enhance the overall experience.

Happy to see a fun organization taking place in Kitsap. The staff seem to still be getting the hang of their systems and efficiency, but our group still had a great time. I enjoyed that there was a big central area that had an area for kids.

This place is so fun! I really enjoyed axe throwing for the first time. Their space is inviting and allows every group room to spread out. The staff is super friendly - thanks Mikayla D for checking us in, keeping us hydrated and checking us out. Also thanks to the friendly woman from Minnesota (sorry I can't remember your name) but you taught me so well to throw and went over all the things we needed to know. Can't wait to come back. We threw as a group of 4.

We went here for my husbands birthday with a group of 8 adults and 2 kids. Two people in our group are in wheelchairs and they have an ADA axe throwing lane. They had a lot of games and things to keep the kids occupied. All of the staff was great, Ashton specifically helped our group and gave us many tips on how to improve our throwing. All around a wonderful experience! we will definitely be back!

Staff is super helpful and nice. It’s clean, has a great set up and was a blast! A great place to go by yourself for some fun or with a big group.Very reasonable pricing on axe throwing as well as concessions. I’m excited to try the restaurant when it opens up as well.

The employees are so nice and helpful, it was a lot of fun. I will say if this is something you want to make a hobby of it would get expensive. You do get a lot of time for the price but if you want to go often it would add up quick! Otherwise, great for now and then, we will be back!
