I cannot thank her enough for the care she took with Lena and will be switching over to their care with my next pet. She went above and beyond, finding Lena, properly preserving her, communicating with me, treating me with kindness and patience, driving Lena to me because I didn't get off work until 5:30, presenting her in a beautiful box coffin with her name written on the top, she really helped during this process. Chimacum Valley Veterinary Hospital
820 Chimacum Rd, Port Hadlock-IrondaleI brought my old lady cat in. I had a fear I would pressured into putting her down due to her age and her problems. Obviously I didn’t want to keep her alive if it wasn’t better for her but if there was the chance that she could still live and not struggle then I wanted that option. One of the ladies sat and talked to me about all my options. She didn’t try to push me toward an option she or the doctor wanted. She was very honest with every option. I ended up bringing up questions about euthanization just incase it ended up needing to happen. She was so sweet about the conversation and made sure I knew no matter what route was taken it wouldn’t be a wrong choice. She let us go outside and talk it through to figure out what we wanted to do and we ended up coming up with a good plan for now and the future of our cat. I didn’t think I would be able to bring her back home when I was on the way to the vet. Right now I’m cleaning my house while my cat naps on the couch. I know this was long winded but I just loved the experience and communication I got. It was a hard visit to go to and I left feeling much better about our situation. You guys are awesome people ❤️

10565 Rhody Dr, Port Hadlock-IrondaleThis is a food truck near the Chimacum high school, and after seeing tons of post on Facebook promoting their specials I decided to have one of my teenagers pick up something on the way home from school. So glad I did! Even after a 20 minute car ride, the food was still warm, fries and fish were crispy, and the fish breading is AWESOME! Super flavorful. Great tartar sauce and coleslaw too, which is hard to find!

Farm & Sea Grill
1050 Ness' Corner Rd, Port Hadlock-IrondaleI ate at Far & Sea Grill for the first time this afternoon. I had Halibut fish & chips. It was GREAT!! The fish was delicately battered and fresh. The chips were perfectly salted, crisp and fresh. Normally, I don't like tartar sauce, but theirs is very good. This is my new go-to place :-). Oh, and the art is adorable!

Spirits Bar and Grill at the Old Alcohol Plant
310-A Hadlock Bay Rd, Port Hadlock-IrondaleWe showed up at 7 on a chilly Friday evening without reservations and were promptly seated. Service was attentive but unobtrusive, as it should be. At least one of our servers was a resident of the transitional housing that's part of the facility. The food was excellent. The house salad relies heavily on their on site garden and greenhouse and was really good. The clam chowder was great and the shrimp, fish and crab cakes were good. The bar had a good pour and also used their home grown produce where applicable such as the mint in the mojito. There was also a duo of doghouse bass and piano clearly audible from the lobby playing instrumental jazz standards. A pleasant repast in an attractive and comfortable environment.
