I've been with Angeles Clinic for Animals (ACA) for many years. I've noticed in the last year a very positive change in staffing. They have plenty of people at the desk and plenty of technicians to keep their appointments running smoothly and on time. And everyone is pleasant and attentive, no doubt because they have the support they need to help their customers. They have a new vet who is very enthusiastic and I got her due to an emergency with my dog - she did a great job. I recommend ACA to anyone who asks me. I've been to every vet in Port Angeles over the years and I am glad I settled on ACA.

Very impressed with their thoroughness and thoughtfulness. Got my dog in quickly when needed to be seen ASAP. Dr Carolyn Justus was very knowledgeable in dealing with my old dogs issues. Would definitely recommend this doctor.

I was very impressed by the staff at the Angeles clinic for animals in port Angeles Washington. I took my cat in for a follow up from an emergency visit to a clinic in Seattle and was pleasantly surprised to discover such a dedicated team working there.

We switched to this clinic from another in 2018. To be completely transparent, our beloved cat passed in December, and I just realized that we never posted a review here. So this is for the period of 2018 to 2022. Dr. Wagner our veterinarian of choice. She was always calm, compassionate, and informative when our big boy had health issues. And he had a LOT if them. Glaucoma, hyperthyroidism, miscellaneous and sundry other issues, and finally, intestinal lymphoma. We always received the best care at Angeles. Even when the ridiculous mandates forced curbside service and other miscellaneous hoops, every single person there treated us as family. Yes, it's not cheap. Buy pet insurance while your pet is young and it's affordable. Prices for everything skyrocketed in the past few years and we were glad to have it. I am disappointed that like every other veterinarian in town, this clinic no longer has after hours services (other than phone triage). We initially selected this clinic because they had early, late, and Saturday hours. Sadly, they don't have the staff to do that anymore. Look at every other veterinary clinic in town, or any other business, though--EVERYONE has cut hours and services and now charges more. I can't hold it against this facility that they are trying to make a living and employ others also trying to make theirs. Bottom line is that I would not hesitate to recommend this office to anyone looking for the best care for their furry family member. Tell them CJ sent you.

I have been taking my pet here for years but they have grown disorganized and chaotic, I get emails and text messages telliing me my pet is due to an appointment yet everytime I call to make an appointment they answer the phone "Angeles Clinic for Animas, is this an emergency or can you hold?" It does not matter if I call early or mid morning, or anytime in the afternoo. I get the same greeting. Recently i aquired another pet and would like to get a simple exam to see if the pet is healthy or ineed of some vet care but I can't set an appointment. I find this frustrating. I'm going to try another vet in the area.

I'm so happy with this clinic! I brought both my boys here after being nickeled and dimed elsewhere. The prices are fair and I don't every feel pressured into getting other services that aren't in my budget. The staff is very caring and patient with my difficult dogs! One of my boys has bad anxiety and they are so good with him. So happy to have a great clinic in town!

Like other animal parents' who've posted here, my experience with the vets at the Angeles Clinic for Animals is that they're not compassionate and their charges are extortionate. They don't seem to have any feelings at all for the angst of either the 4-legged babies or their parents. There are many examples already posted here but in addition to those, even though the WA governor has eliminated the mask mandate, the clinic still won't let pup parents into the lobby. My pup has major anxiety about going to the vet but they still won't let me come into the lobby. Also, I paid $2 per pill for an over-the-counter probiotic that costs 35 cents on Chewy.com. One positive is that they do keep customers well informed of test and procedure outcomes.

I have been a loyal patron of Angeles Clinic for Animals for almost 35 years. I have proudly passed on to friends that this is the office I go to. After events which took place on August 9 (and a few small red flags prior to that date) it has become glaringly imperative that I look for another office to take care of the needs of my household pets. (I have taken the time to think this through. More than a month has passed and the more that I think of what transpired - or hasn't since - continues to leave me very upset. My intention is not to make a rash decision.) This office is not at all what it was when Dr. Wilcox on board. My Bentley Cooper, after 12 years as their patient, was no more than $$$ to them. This has been a very rude awakening!

We had an emergency with our beloved old dog and since they were closing in 10 minutes they refused to talk to us or give us medicine to help. They refused to see him as they just had other things going on and wanted to close. I feel Port Angeles needs a caring vet for emergency care without driving a very sick animal all the way to Silverdale. Also, when I had to put my cat down, they were rude and uncaring - I had to change vets. We have a home in another state in a small town and the situation is completely opposite. They care so much about the animals and they go to your home and help you say goodbye after walking you thoroughly through the procedure. It is 100% opposite. Very sad state of affairs at this place - go elsewhere.

It's hard to put into words how disappointing this clinic is. I don't know where to begin. I'll just make a list. 1) One of my dogs had a growth on her neck, so I brought her down there and they did a biopsy. They said it could've been cancer, or it could've been nothing. It was a nightmare obviously. They said it would take one or two days to get results. A week later, I still didn't hear anything. I had to make numerous calls to finally find out that my dog was fine. It was a nightmare. 2) they talked me into being part of their Paws plan. You basically pay a monthly fee which covers some of the yearly costs for your pet. One of my dogs had literally all her teeth pulled. I did not think that was necessary, but I let it happen. It was time for a dental for my next dog, and this dog had great teeth. The doctor even said so. I did not want any teeth pulled. The Paw plan covered the dental. Cleaning. But not the extraction of course. The doctor 100% would not commit to no teeth pulling. I told her that it was my dog and I just wanted a cleaning. She refused. It's seemed to me that the Paw plan was a scheme to have teeth pulled and for the clinic to make more money. That's what it seemed like to me. Otherwise, we could've waited for an extraction, if necessary, next year. But like I said, the teeth were all fine. I just wanted a cleaning, which my monthly payment was covering. 3) I ended the Paw plan. It seemed like a gimmick, like I said. I still owed $400 for the work that is already been done, and the Paw plan was taking out $120 a month from my credit card. I had a long talk with somebody at the clinic to stop the Paw plan. I agreed to $120 to continue to be taken out of my credit card until I was paid up. Then I got a collection notice out of nowhere. This is after I was on the phone with them for a long time and we discussed all this. Why was I not charged right then? Or why was I not advised? They said they've tried to contact me numerous times. They did not try to contact me even once. As a matter fact, I just talk to them a few weeks ago regarding the Paw plan and me continuing to pay until it was paid off. Something feels just very wrong down there. Very wrong. Most emails I get from them almost on a daily basis were for sales and for things they were selling. It seems to me in my opinion that they're number one goal is not caring for pets, but it's making money. UPDATE: I received four letters in the mail. They became increasingly threatening. The last one said collection notice. The one before that said legal action was starting. I talked to a nice lady there named Hanna. She said that I was paying each month automatically and she didn't know why I was getting these crazy letters. She said it would be fixed. Two days later, I got an even more threatening letter. To say it's a stressful and horrible experience being a customer of this veterinarian is an understatement. I talked to Hanna again today. She said she would talk to Angela, the account person, and fix things. Who knows? I might get more letters next week. You never know about this place. It's a nightmare.

I picked this place for Saturday hours. Vet started talking about buying their insurance early in exam. Felt forced to do so. Did not particularly like vet, but they seem more interested in money than my dog. Not even a pat on her head or touching her. Long waits, difficult to get a prescription to take to outside pharmacy, and bad attitude. My dog had dental extractions at former OR vet six months prior and she insisted my dog needed 27 MORE TEETH PULLED! I want my dog healthy and allowed it. Vet did not come to talk after surgery, only tech. When I insisted i wanted to talk to her, they charged me for a visit, made me wait 45 minutes, and rude patronizing attitude. Also did not bring my dog to me as I waited. Wasted most of the next 7 month insurance I bought to leave tg here and found to my new vet. Money well spent to get away. Too much sales and attitude not enough compassion. Small town, but you are not the only vet in town. Love Olympic Vet.

We have had many pets, all seen and taken care by the Dr.s and entire staff at Angeles. Currently we have two male boxer brothers... and they think the Dr.s at Angeles rock! Thank you!

What a great vet and office staff. My pup got into some poison on the last day of Labor Day weekend and they fit us in on a busy Monday morning to make sure she was okay and get her on the antidote asap. Highly recommend.

This review is a bit overdue but time was needed to write it. We had our 12 year old dog Lucy seen by Dr. Christina Wagner due to some alarming symptoms last November. As it turned out Lucy needed to be put to sleep that same day. First, we were extremely impressed with the gentleness and kindness with which Dr. Wagner treated Lucy. We were also given as much time as we needed to decide how the unexpected process would take place. This was during a busy day at the clinic. Dr. Wagner never made us feel rushed and provided all the answers to the questions we had. We had complete trust in her assessment and followed her recommendations. We were incredibly grateful for her to be the one to share the last few minutes with Lucy and us. Shortly after we received a sympathy boquet of flowers from Angeles Clinic. All the staff (front desk and techs) were very sympathetic to what we went through and for that we are very grateful.

We received excellent care for our dog here. We are new to the area & thought we might have to wait to get Jack in. They got us in right away on a Saturday & treated Jack with TLC. We're making this Animal Clinic our Vets while we're here for the next 6 months.
