Did not complete the full scope of work and charged more than was quoted. No call to inform me they were running into issues. They did make a small adjustment but now I have to bring my boat to Port Townsend to get the work completed.

Charged $380 to drop off an engine when they said they didn't know when they could get to it. When I complained about this extortionate and unnecessary charge I was told that's their policy and if I didn't like it I could never come back. Noted and recommending others do the same. Must be nice to have a captured market where you can treat customers like trash after zero work and charging for it.

Casey and Julie are wonderful! Their knowledge and service was outstanding. On the way to Canada, our hydronic steering system went out. Casey got to us quickly while we were in Port Angeles. Casey got us on our way! Coming back, we had another issue with a different part of the system. Again while moored in Port Angeles, Casey got to us even though he had a full schedule. He explained how we can avoid the issue and get back home without it inconveniencing us. Thank goodness for their expertise and kindness. Charlie and Gerri

Great service and outstanding technical knowledge. First, they were pretty swamped and first opening was a month out. Within a week, got a call saying a slot opened up and I could bring my boat in early. Really appreciated the call as fishing season was about to start.Had an issue with shifting that two other shops couldn’t figure out. Within a day or so of diagnosing, they figured it out and fixed it. Have been running the engine with no shifting issues since then! Will be back next year for sure for my annual service.RLTW

Had them winterize our boat with a full service, left it in a garage all winter, launched and wouldn't start. Brought it back, charged us $673 and claimed it was good to go. Launched it again and still doesn't start. Finally took it to someone else, turns out fuel filter bolt was rusted in place, clearly they had never removed it and fuel filter was full of gunk. Now it works great! Will never take another boat to Anchor Marine.

Casey, Julie, and their crew are the best. Casey and his team did an outstanding job on our SeaSport with replacing the broken inboard with a pair of new outboards. The service is the best, they treat a client like they are the only customer. I was grateful for their professionalism and their commitment to the highest quality workmanship. The staff were all friendly and helpful and looked happy in the workplace. Anchor Marine will have my business as long as I have a boat. I highly recommend them for the above reasons. You can't go wrong at Anchor Marine. They live and breath the marine industry. They even have some tips for successful fishing in the area.

Great group of professionals, Julie is the glue. They backed there work up after the boat only worked for an hour following repairs that they made. Thankfully they warranty their craftsmanship and I am still a happy customer. Stuff happens and I am moving forward again. Grateful for Anchor marine. Vic

Great people and great work being done. No one else on the peninsula will take care of you like them. And for them being the most readily available on this side I would always tell you you come here rather then Joe schmo with the cigarette hanging out of his mouth! Heck they even clean your boat when they are done!Services: Boat cleaning

New ownership has made a big improvement in service at this business. Have had several issues with my 20 year old C-Dory which I purchased last year. Casey Cook, owner even came to John Wayne Marina to help me with a battery issue late on a Friday afternoon. Very friendly staff. If you want a smart, friendly mechanic locally, Anchor Marine is THE place to go.Services: General repairs & maintenance

I am terribly sorry I walked in on what must have been an absolutely miserable day for these folks, either that or they don't really want any new customers. I hope it is the former because I would like to see new business owners succeed in a tough service environment.I was greeted by "dropping off or picking up." I stated, if I could, I would first like to show or describe a problem, likely easily confirmed by experts (mismatched outboard shaft and boat transom on a boat I had just purchased) and then my intent was schedule work to fix it (and I fully expected it would be months from now). I brought my boat in case it helped to look at it.I was told, NO, we will not stop to look at it and apparently they did not care to even ask what I thought the problem was. The lady at the counter who seemed defensive - from having similar conversations (?) said I could schedule it to be "looked at" in late August. It would not be fair to other customers to do any differently. I was befuddled and suggested that was a tough way to get new customers. Again she said, NO. I stated that I hoped they were happy with their current customer base as I could not see it growing under that policy. (I was not unkind or argumentative, I was trying to reason). A fellow working behind the lady jumped up and pointed at me and got loud, obviously angry. I was thankful there was a counter between us. The Lady stepped between us and urged the male to stop. I asked again, so, all I can do is schedule you to look at my boat in late August to just confirm what is likely a simple problem. She confirmed that.I left. Please folks, I am not unreasonable nor was I in your business. I have never walked through your doors before, I had no expectations other than if repairs were scheduled it would be months. I see "professional" in other customer comments. That was not my experience. I hope it was a bad day and that this is not your usual way. And, I do hope you succeed. You have a fair number of good comments, I hope that continues for you. Please don't run off your future customers. Peace!

I was extremely disappointed. I took an older boat with a 1985 engine and agreed to pay $450 for Diagnostics. They were going to test all of the components of the engine and let me know what needed to be done. When I picked up the boat, I got a list of all the Cosmetic problems with my boat. They said that the transmission oil needed to be changed but I had just changed it 2 hours ago. They said there was fuel flooding from the carburetor, but I could see that when we first started the engine. That's why I took it into them. They did not give me the compression tests or the status of each of the electrical components as they indicated they would do when they did their tests. I don't have a problem paying people for their diagnostic skills. I do have a problem when I don't even get the reports that I wanted and they don't tell me anything that I didn't already know.Update: I did get the report from them. Still not sure why they didn't do the initial tests in the first hour and then call to see if I wanted it to proceed. They did give me a discount on the parts to do some of the repairs. Their part prices are reasonable. Just disappointed in the service.

Treated me with the best experience I've ever had. Charged me less than estimate and very helpful to work with.
