The short version: Unless absolutely necessary ? Go to a mail shop elsewhere. there are many in Point Roberts. The not so short version. The underlying problem is the Postmaster. Leanne Gerber. depending on her mood. you might escape unscathed. though Im betting not. Despite USPS having a code system in place. behavior rules etc.. she makes up her own as she sees fit. Im giving the Post office a 1. and the remaining staff a 5 just having to put up with her they should receive a gold star too. tread lightly at this location. and best luck all!

Same here, bad service, thinks she is doing a favor for working there. Barely holding back not to tell her directly to keep her upset at home and do customer service properly

If you’re running out of topics to discuss with your therapist, I highly recommend visiting this location!
The short gray haired lady will leave you with enough trauma to keep your therapist employed for many sessions to come.
If you think you’ve healed from your childhood wounds, think again! You’ll leave feeling absolutely terrible and it’s a great opportunity for personal growth. Highly recommend this immersive experience.

I've always found the staff friendly and professional here. The things I would complain about I'm sure are beyond the local staff's control: 1. very limited hours for package pickups (I did confirm that they are still open for one hour 12:15-1:15 on Saturdays for parcel pickup only which is not shown anywhere on the USPS website), very few parcel lockers for oversized items (I've never gotten one) and the price of a PO box keeps going up (smallest box is now $91 every six months, up from $67 in just 3 years).

The postmistress is fine as a person. I've met her three times, and she's been helpful and friendly. The service, however, is run poorly. Mail is delivered days late; you see it on USPS's Informed Delivery mail for that day, and it doesn't actually show up in your mailbox until three days later, if ever. I have letters that I see on Informed Delivery due to be delivered on the say that never make it to my mailbox. They are never returned to sender, they just disappear between the Post Office and my house.Mailman is lovely and wonderful as a person, but he never actually picks up the mail unless he's also delivering something. The mail can be in your box, with the flag down, on a main road, for DAYS, and nothing. In the end you lose patience and take it down to the post office yourself. We constantly, and I mean CONSTANTLY get mail for the people around the corner, who have the same house number, but a completely different street name.I've sent packages that have been returned because the address isn't somewhere USPS actually delivers (new housing complex), and the postmistress refuses to refund the cost, or even the additional services purchased, because how was she to know they don't deliver there. Well, I called the USPS helpline, and the random stranger who answered knew they didn't deliver there, because all of USPS shares the same system, so...I've lived in a dozen different places in a handful of states across the US, and I have never had an issue with the post office until now, where it is a repeated hassle.

Great place, limited hours though. I used to have a PO Box here, sometime like 25 years ago for the longest time. When I'm at the Point, I drop-in and reminisce about the "good old days". Yeah, I'm old!

Don't listen to the bad reviews. The staff were pleasant, informative, and extremely patient. They allowed me to take my time to pack my items and helped me with every step along the way.
