One year they partnered with BFT to help Dial-A-Ride passengers with Thanksgiving. I received a Thanksgiving box ? complete with turkey and all the sides. Much appreciated.

As a previous organization that received food from this company I have a few things people need to know that we couldn’t say before. Over 3/4 of the time we got A LOT of food that was spoiled and we couldn’t give out. We had to toss it because it sits in the warehouse too long. Then when we would complaint about stuff our items were reduced the following weeks. During our inspection we were told we couldn’t have chemicals near our food but countless times we found chemicals inside our food boxes, including rusted nails and female press on nails.To be honest if companies want to better help the Food banks that serve our community now please donate to them directly. Our food bank is focus on NOT giving out spoiled food and families choose everything they take. Don’t get me wrong Second Harvest is great but when it comes to distribution of the food to us they lack in that area. Things sit too long in their warehouse before it’s given out to us.

I have fun doing volunteer this place and you work out of lifting up the boxes and do some math to fix something in ... last one if you working time goes by fast in a good way maybe met need people and they or nice and can get a break
