I'm new to RVing and pretty disappointed in my first experience with Camping World in Pasco, Washington.A few months ago, I purchased an older Class A Bounder and took it to Camping World for a once-over and to address any key issues. A day later, the service rep called and mentioned that the water and propane systems were leaking. I authorized them to fix the leaks. The service rep mentioned they were having a difficult time finding the solenoid/valve due to the age of the coach and encouraged me to look around. A short while later, I found a replacement part on eBay with Nash Fuel and forwarded the information to the service rep. A day later, the rep mentioned that they were finished with the work. While meeting with the rep to settle up, I was informed that Camping World charged me twice the price for the solenoid/valve than what was listed on eBay. This surprised me considering that I found them the part. Ready to move on with my RV, I approved the cost, and the rep assured me that everything had been repaired. I paid for the items and left. When I arrived home, I crawled under the coach to review the repairs. I was again disappointed to find that the work was very poor. The access panel to the back of the water was hanging down by a single bolt; the water heater lines were leaking; the wires from the solenoid/valve were also hanging down, ready to be yanked off by any road debris; there was a strong odor of propane outside of the coach; and several other access panels were left open. My chief concern was losing the $180 worth of propane I just pumped into the tank.Frustrated, I drove back up to Camping World to meet with the service rep and their manager about the findings. While talking with the service rep and manager, they mentioned that the work was started by a master tech and finished by a junior tech and that they were struggling to hire a QC Specialist. This, again, surprised me, as the rate I was charged ($190/h) was not a junior rate. They assured me that the sloppy work would be fixed and, most importantly, the propane smell would be investigated.Later that day, the service rep called and mentioned that the fixes had been made, and they confirmed that no propane leak existed. I collected the coach and returned home a second time. A week later, one day before a trip to South Dakota in the RV, I checked the propane tank and found that it was empty, despite no use of the tank. Due to time constraints and an obvious safety concern, I elected to pick up a portable propane tank to take on the trip. Also, the new water heater that Camping World installed had an electric and propane option, so I figured my family and I could get by with the electric.Over 1k miles later, we arrived in Custer, SD, and setup camp to find that we didn’t have any hot water. After calling out a mobile tank and spending some time under the rig, I noticed that Camping World never hooked up the electric heating side of the RV. At this point, I’d lost all faith in the competence of Camping World……..but this wasn’t the worst part….When I recounted my experiences with Camping World to the mobile tech, the tech went on a rant about Camping World’s absence of quality and how they wouldn’t even take warranty work to them. 1K miles away, and Camping World’s low-quality reputation followed them. $380 later, we had hot water. Literally nothing that I paid Camping World to do worked correctly. After $1,800 to Camping World, a second trip back to Camping World, and a visit from a mobile tech, all the work they did will have to be done again at an additional cost. Since my experience, I’ve noticed that the local reputation of camping world is pretty tarnished in the Tri Cities area. After talking with the tech in South Dakota, it seems that there may be some deeper management concerns. My experience at the Pasco location was that the team there did not value their customers, workmanship, or reputation.

Absolute horrible experience with the last trailer we purchased. Turn on the ac and generator kicks off. Service person lets me know that if I have my microwave on and ac on then the generator can’t handle that and it will turn off. I stated it would’ve been nice to know when I purchased the trailer and she tells me that it’s all in the owners manual. I will never buy anything from this place again.

I purchased a 2020 Forest River Evo with them with a 7 years extended warranty. And every time I did service on damages or repairs, the warranty has not been effective for the work and recently I've spoken to Gene for a partial refund of the warranty, and there has been active avoidance of my request and it has been sad to see I've been ignored.

Don't buy anything from camping world, and definantly don't buy a heartland trailer, complete garbage, we bought a 2022 heartland pioneer ds320 brand new in Feb 2022 from nelsons rv in noise idaho (rvs.com now), yes they are owned by camping world, two weeks after we bought it we took it camping and discovered the hot water heater had a leak, the tank was cracked, and the gfci plug in the bathroom was wired wrong so it didn't work, we called the salesman we bought the trailer from and he treated me like I was stupid and told me to talk to a tech over the phone because he was sure that I was missing something, we took the trailer back to boise after our trip and while it was there I pointed out some other defects it had when I bought it, mainly small cosmetic things, but the tin siding on the driver side up front had a big bow in it and I asked them to fix it, and It also had one piece of tin with a rip in it, we dropped the trailer off and it sat there for 8-10 weeks while they waited for the parts to come in, they couldn't get the water heater so they just pulled one out of a similar unit on there lot. After 8-10 weeks we had a camping trip planned and they still hadn't received the parts so I drove to boise and picked my trailer up for our trip and then returned it back to boise, they finally got the tin in and fixed it but as for the bubble in the siding I complained about, they just screwed a little level through the tin and into a wood stud to push the tin flat, this lasted a couple of days until the screw pulled out of the wood stud and then the bubble was back, anyway we moved closer to tri cities washington so now we take our trailer there for warranty work, or we try anyway, so that bubble in the siding finally gave up today, I was pulling it home and it pulled the tin out and folded it over and ruined some of the siding and insulation was blowing all over the place and who knows how long it will be down now, we have a few camping trips planned the next few weeks and camping world in pasco wa told us basically we are shit out of luck, they dont loan rv's and on top of that they told us most likely warranty is not going to cover it even though we had taken it back originally right after we bought it to have it fixed correctly and they failed to do so, and we thought about trading it in but camping world offered us 8k less then we owe on it and interest rates are also much higher now then when we purchased it so that's not going to work, long story short, the salesman was great up until they got paid, after that they could care less, the customer service sucks, they take forever to get anything done, communication is terrible, the only time I talked to anybody was if I called them, and they really just didn't care and stuck me with a pile of shit but they got paid and that's all that matters to them. If your in pasco, I recommend broadmoor rv right across the street, local family owned dealership that sells nice quality rv's, these corporate places don't give a damn about you they just want your money
