The very worse experience I have ever had with any propane company. Phone communication went very well, polite informative and helpful. In person service terrible. First delivery would not supply propane even though I've owned my 1000 tank for 18 plus years, 3 or 4 previous companies had no problem, Ferrell name was still on my tank that I purchased from them 05/23/2006 and I was down to less than 5% in the coldest weather, with 7 people relying on some heat.
Next after much hassle proving the tank is mine, they tried to be charged $696.30 for an inspection that THEY required, without informing me or any charge, before filling my tanks, no other company (4 in total) has every charged for this service in ALL the years I've owned it.
Next, I was charged $1.82 when quoted twice for $1.62 why the sudden change from the quoted price? I shopped around and Amerigas HAD the best price until the add on charges which make their price more an any others.

I called to get a propane delivery as my tank was completely out and I needed to supply heat in order to sell my house. After multiple calls over 6 weeks, I ended up calling a competitor who came out the next day and filled my tank. I later had an issue with a leak at a line that Amerigas previously charged me to make up. After another week of no response, I called the same competitor who again came out the next day and repaired the line. I later found out that Amerigas charged me over $300 for a delivery that never happened. I only paid as disputing it made no progress and I need to close my account as the house sold and closed on April 2nd. Now I find out that Amerigas came out and made another delivery in mid April after the house sold and is trying to bill me for it. I wish these deliveries happened back in February when I was calling with an empty tank. I made another call and explained this to the customer service rep and they assured me that it will be taken care of on the spot. That was last week and the bill charge is still on my account. Also, I have yet to receive a credit for the delivery that I never happened.
This is no longer the same company that I signed up with 8 years ago and I have no plans on using them again in the future.

Drive 50 miles, waited 6 hours called and was told the delivery was in route, waited another hour called again and was told my delivery was rescheduled and was never notified!!! Had to drive another 50 miles home for nothing!!!This is the worst company ever!!! You can’t talk to anyone in the USA and I left a request for the local manager who has never called!!! And my tank is empty

Not only did they they fill up my tank but they made sure my fireplace pilot light was lite and in working order, which it wasn’t so we took the glass cover off and lite the pilot light. I had no safety concern once they left.
