Yikes! Moronic postal employees stirring up the public for a man practicing his First Amendment rights? Something tells me your employee's cornbread isn't done in the middle. Do better!

What has happened to the postal system??? There is zero accountability for lost packages and failures of the systems used by post office. Further, postal workers at this location become rude and indignant when questioned about system. Postal workers at this location become angry at requests for proof of packages scanning when the online system provides nothing. I was REFUSED tracking information that the postal worker held in her hand. This post office needs to have a meeting about PROFESSIONALISM!!!!

HORRIFIC customer service!!! 1 star is far too many. We moved into our house a little less than a year ago and never established a mailbox here the previous owner suggested we not due to the fact that there are constant break ins to the mailboxes at the end of our road (where our mail would be going). She said she used the closer post office being south prairie for a PO Box, but never had an issue getting her packages delivered to the house. We followed suit and chose not to get a mailbox to avoid mailbox break ins and sensitive information getting stolen. I didn't realize when you moved somewhere you had to "establish" yourself as a customer as this has never been something we had to do in the other 3 houses we've lived in. However, after several packages of mine were sent back to the sender and I called they told me I had to establish myself by filling out a form. No big deal. I filled out the form and returned it to them. Without issue I had a couple packages delivered after that. Then I had been waiting on a package for a month and went to check the status of it. The status claimed that my door step was not accessible to leave the package? I called to see what was going on as my doorstep hasn't changed since moving in. The gal was incredibly nasty once again to deal with. She confirmed I was an established customer and my package finally got delivered. Today I got a notification something was delivered yesterday to a "mailbox". I don't have a mailbox. Therefore I called to ask what was going on with my package i could see it was delivered to a mailbox but I don't have a mailbox. She asked where I get my paper mail. I told her at south prairie post office. She told me if I don't get my paper mail through them then they won't deliver my packages. I said that I have established myself as a customer so I've been able to receive some of my packages but had issues with others. She claims she had no idea what I was talking about as far as establishing myself as a customer even though she's the one I've spoke to everytime and has told me the same thing about establishing myself and has personally confirmed that I am established. She told me that they would start sending all my packages back to the senders and I wouldn't receive any unless I have a mailbox and get all my paper mail through them. Which I'm not doing because they are always broken into. She then put me on hold and came back and told me I do have a mailbox and need to talk to my HOA to get a key. I informed her we don't have an HOA where I live and I do not have a box nor a key. She claims that I do and that's where my packages will be delivered to. I asked her about the fact Everytime I speak to her she is incredibly rude and I'm not sure why. She proceeded to get more rude and hung up on me. This is AWFUL customer service!!! Everytime I call, I start out with a very kind demeanor as I know any other way will get me no where. However she is nasty everytime. I'm incredibly confused on why I'm treated with such disrespect when delivering my packages is their job??? Being a mail carrier is a paid job, I'm not asking for anything outside the realm of the mail carriers job description. The mail carrier herself is just as nasty as the gal working in the office. She has no issue delivering to my next door neighbors almost daily but delivering to my house is an inconvenience? I don't feel like when I have a home address I should have to send every single package to a post office and shouldn't be able to send directly to my house. I have had zero issue with Amazon, ups or fedex. My only issue with delivery is usps.

I got a key in my mailbox that definitely is too big for my box and was probably left by a postal worker. I tried to call about it and the menu was horrible and wouldn't let me just talk to somebody. I called multiple times trying different options and nothing worked. Like seriously, whoever set up the call system is a complete moron! I was just trying to do the right thing and all I got for it was major frustration and nothing solved. USPS of Orting WA, please contact me to get this key thing resolved.

The Orting Post Office has been serving me and my family since we moved to Orting in 1994. They have always given us good service with a smile and because we have always had a P.O. Box they get to see us often! No complaints here!

They have now locked me out of my box twice for paperwork that had been filled out before. Once because they didn't get my renewal, their fault I put it in their drop box. The second time the "nice" lady behind the counter couldn't even tell me why I needed to fill out the paperwork but I still needed to. So zero reasoning as to why you take people's mail hostage, super cool. If orting would get with the times and actually have mail delivery service, that would be great.

There's something about small town places that I like. My visit here was nice and quick. No crowds. Customer service was great, however, the lady failed to add insurance on my package. I sent out a box of electronic goods worth $700. My fault for not verifying the receipt at the moment of transaction. I do like how this location is not as busy as Puyallup's.

Once again, a package of mine has been returned to sender. This time it was because I have apparently moved and left no forwarding address. I have been in my home for 9 years now... we have not moved and do not intend to move. This is the second time they have done this to me and I get the pleasure of paying the $9.00 postage to have my package resent. I did call the post office and the gal on the phone was sweet but told me she would reach out to my carrier to see what the issue was. This is what they said last time and nothing ever came of that.

0- StarThe orting post office is the worst post office I have ever had to deal with. They have taken it upon themselves to determine that my package was undeliverable and sent it back. No slip in my locked mail box or on my front door. I spoke with Julie at the post office who informed me that they sent my package back because they didnt think I lived at my address that I have received multiple packages at just fine.

Failed to deliver import docs repeatedly. Birth certs , car titles, etc. Olympia title office said post office marked my box as undeliverable... it’s a giant metal box that still gets mail and has a huge opening. This place is a joke.

Read some negative reviews. So i figured, I'd post my experience. I own a small business and i find myself in Orting's USPS daily. My labels are already pre printed so i don't usually have to interact with anyone. However, when i have had to it's been great. The one thing i find interesting is they don't provide tape to help you like UPS or Fedex does if you need it. They force you to buy it or come back once you have tape. For me this is fine because i do this at home but when i first found this out it was shocking and unreasonable.USPS employees are people too. They may have good and bad days like you and I. However, Orting Postal employees have delivered my mail without issue even in the snow! They don't mind picking up my packages when i schedule them. When i'm at the USPS facility there's always a line which is a bummer but i just drop off so it's not a big deal for me.If i could have one improvement, it would be a larger drop off station. Sometimes the drop box is full and i can't get my packages in on days it's closed. I like to track my dropped off packages for my clients until they are scanned in to USPS to ensure they received it and nothing sketchy is going on. Orting USPS usually scans my packages in within 30-minutes from the time i drop off. My drop off times are usually Noon or 5:00 PM. They have not failed me yet and i've dropped off more then 190 packages to them for delivery to almost every US state. It's been a pleasure using them and I will continue to use USPS.
