A hypermarket with many products. But the only drawback is that you have to wait in line to check out for a long time.

Almost all my major groceries come from Winco, though it's quite a drive. (1) By far the best prices around. A lot of things are literally half the price of other Olympia groceries, and most stuff is about 20% less. (2) Best bulk food selection around. (3) Extremely good produce selection. However, there are some warnings: (1) Everybody knows about this place so it's typically very crowded from 9 am to 7 pm, including long waits at the checkout. Go early or go late. (2) No credit cards. Cash or debit. (3) Buy meat a block east of here, at Gibson's Custom Meats.

I have to rely on an electric cart. The last 3 times I have tried to shop at WinCo, there were no carts available/or were not charged. When I do get a cart, the battery usually fails before I can finish my shopping. This has caused me to now have to shop at Fred Meyer or Walmart.

I live out of town and rarely get or am able to take the opportunity to come to Winco where admittedly the prices are much better than at home. I was excited to make some changes and one of those was silly enough to be excited at the opportunity to shop more frequently at this store- instead, I’m leaving just disgusted and embarrassed by the whole experience of how I was treated by the employees. Mind you, I have terrible social anxiety and I go out of my way to constantly be nice and polite because I never want someone to even inadvertently feel the way I feel right now as a customer. I was hot, I was dehydrated, I was stressed out, my blood sugar was low, I could feel my blood pressure climbing- I felt like I was actually going to pass out in that store and the situation with these employees did not help whatsoever. If it had ended up as a medical emergency, I hope at least then they would have shown a little more compassion. I’m not going to throw a tantrum and say I’ll never come back, that would be stupid on my part and I can’t imagine a world where Winco would care. But I’m not going to probably ever be excited about having the opportunity to shop here again or telling my friends how awesome it is and how much they would love it. Again. I can’t imagine a world where Winco or those employees would care but it’s important to voice your frustrations in the hope that the next person is treated better.

Self checkout assistant is VERY rude. If you have to come help due to the machine and scale acting up yet I still take less than 5 mins to ring up 41 items why would an employee feel the need to be rude when self checkout is helping them being lazy..... As usual.

Security guard has a real authority complex. He should not be allowed around the public

The only good thing about WinCo is the price. But that's the only reason that it gets a 2 star. The managers here are LAZY and do nothing. I used to work in a grocery store as a manager, and anytime the lines got backed up, I was the first one on the registers. NOT HERE! There are never enough cashiers, and the managers just stand around and watch. Especially the middle-aged man with glasses. He prioritizes facing bread over helping customers get out of the store faster.
I hope not all WinCo's are like this. Lack of employees and lazy managers.
So if you want to spend 1 hour to shop and 1 hour to check out, then this is the place for you!

The store and staff are great. The parking lot is well laid out.
This chain is a founding member of Certified Employee-Owned, an alliance of companies. The layout is warehouse style.
Sadly you cannot use NFC payments at the check out (Tap N' pay, Apple Pay , Samsung Pay or Google pay)

Cashier accused my friend of being drunk rudely, she was just getting off shift as she said. I expect higher customer service from representatives of this company.

I was shopping & at self checkout the ( black ) cashier sent me hate, hiding it in a joke, indirectly - with another customer in line who was waiting right next to me - wow, he told me they were ‘having fun and laughing’ when I told him that’s “unwanted behavior” ( that’s this person’s idea of fun is crazy ). I didn’t know envy & jealousy was waiting for me just at the cashier. This guy gave me a clear sign to never talk inside again, as to have healthy boundaries for myself around strangers. I gave this scum of the earth an inch ( I gave him eye contact out of respect waiting in line ) & he took a mile on me & then lied to my face like he didn’t just do that in front of everybody which is a situational awareness. So, that’s how you are. I was not shown respect by him & that’s because you can tell he doesn’t carry self-respect. ( you can tell he doesn’t respect himself behind closed doors because there isn’t anybody who respects themselves privately that would force themselves to be right when approached for something wrong they just clearly did in someone’s face - knowing they are wrong - I could see it in the back of his mind when I told him that’s “unwanted behavior” & you could see him quickly jumping to doubling-down his lie because you can see he feels he needs to be right at all costs - but it’s a self-image problem, not that I wasn’t right and he is wrong - all this because he is broadcasting that yeah I am not really somebody who respects themselves - & I believe that shows in his composure which it did anybody who respects themselves would man up & he just wanted to fight if I didn’t let him feel like he’s the bigger person but this is messed up because I deserve peace & not this crazy person showing his true colors at my checkout, where the store has selection I like and all of the coworkers were respectful & out of my way until the community shoppers started spreading mental-Illness to the workers by way of mouth, namely putting my name/life/identity in there mouth ). It’s a good store to shop to rather than giving my money for groceries to a Walmart or Target because supporting local lines with my values which is why I want to spend my pocket here. Now, this is a red flag and I will act accordingly. I can’t stand nonsense people, ( yes, it’s nonsense to make fun out of tearing people down you don’t know - you do not know me just because you have numbers of people monitoring me, stalking me and putting my name in there mouth - it’s entitlement to behave like you should know me just because of gossip - it’s my decision who I let into my mind, heart & life - furthermore not your decision to scare people away from me if you cannot be self-entitled to my social circle ) give the job to a homeless man the guy already broadcasts he’s just a bum. And, not the homeless people addicted to hard drugs, that’s not homeless: You need addiction support. Me just being here shopping has spiked a lot of sales so believe me when I say that there is nothing bad on my shoulders for standing up for myself & having to give 1 star, you people need to manage your own people so that I don’t have to myself. That was so messed up & I never want to speak or have the attention of anybody working there. ( the hatred and envy and jealousy is there & all I can say is keep your mental-illness away from me, no, I’m good, I can just shop & mind my own business - apparently, one of many things people here can’t do - mind there own business - I don’t have to talk or give eye contact & I already knew this & that is because of this incident being the perfect example, also of why I behave the way I do around certain people & groups - like, I let go of hatred & envy & jealousy since day 1 you people are pathetic you’re on day 56 years old and you still haven’t outgrown hatred & jealousy & envy when all that that is is not having a strong work ethic and not believing in your own self & being evil; lets talk about character you want to bring up age, that’s a n
