I took my dog in for a trim. They called after giving him a bath and said that he had blood in his stool and they couldn’t do the grooming. My partner went to pick him up. It turns out that they apparently have new equipment. The tub seemingly had sharp edges and our dog got a gash on his hind leg. We took him to the vet and they had to put staples in the wound. Now he has to wear a cone for the next two weeks until they remove the staples. Both of our daily routines are totally disrupted. He will be restricted in walking and will have to miss a couple of training classes we have already paid for. At least they are covering the vet costs and didn’t charge us for the bath. I am really upset this happened and am not a happy camper. We also have to cancel our weekend plans.

Not impressed. I gave them a try since my girl moved more up north. Said this gal does a lot of doodles so I went with her. Not nearly as good of a cut that I've gotten for him before and it's a tad bit more expensive so I'll be going elsewhere. I can get a better cut for nearly the same price. Plus, usually the front desk person makes or breaks the place and she's not personable at all. The whole M-F only and drop off between 7am-9am can be pretty difficult especially someone with a baby. Others may have had a great experience but unfortunately for me, I didn't.

Nail trims for our 2 dogs, one friendly and the other wary of strangers (we muzzle him for the nail trim). They do an excellent job here and are very considerate of the muzzled wary one. Clearly experienced dog handlers. We appreciate how efficient and kind they are with both of our large pups.

I absolutely love the new staff at Steamboat Island Grooming!! They took such great care of my fur babies! And got me in quick!! I adore the sweet new receptionist, Makenzie, and my pets new forever groomer, Westly. Very knowledgeable and I'm excited to come again! Every dog that comes out looks amazing. Love you guys!

I think Kit Kat was seen by almost all staff & doctors and they all took great care of her and her special needs for all her appointments. She recently passed and me and the doctor were by her side until the end. I can't tell you how grateful I am for being there for Kit Kat and me. I received her ashes today and I am so happy with how she was cared for with her remains. Love the box her ashes were put in and the paw prints were amazing and the necklace!, I liove so she can be next to my heart forever.. So glad you were all there for my Girly!

Things are a bit different right now… you text (or call) when you get there and they come to you. We’ve been coming here for years and always will. The staff is fantastic and so caring with the animals. Dr. Capsey is caring and very knowledgeable.
