Terrible communication! Dropped our truck off for a week to allow them to look into an issue and work on it. By the end of the week hadn’t heard anything back from them. We called them and were told someone would call us back to update us. Didn’t hear anything a day later so we called them back. They wanted to reschedule another time a month later to do the work. We found out they had known all week what the issue was but had done nothing to reach out to us sooner. We have limited time to get it fixed and would have appreciated them telling us sooner so we’d have the time to figure out our options.

By far the BEST shop around!!! Been using them for a long time, (15 plus years) and will never stop!!! I was a tow truck driver for almost 7 years, I've been to almost every shop in Thurston, Pierce , and Lewis counties, and I still will recommend them over anyone else and still do. Frank and his team are amazing mechanics and even better people!!! Don't ever hesitate to trust south bay auto!!!! Your a fool if you do.

Top notch staff, if these guys can't fix your car it's probably not fixable. Very honest people, they don't try to up sell you, they let you know what you need done and let you decide.

This place is great. I have been taking my vans there for several years. I never feel like I am being over-charged or that they do shoddy or unnecessary work. Frank patiently listens to my amateur explanations of what I think is wrong with my vehicle, and when he's done working on it, he explains what the problem ACTUALLY was. Everyone at this shop is professional and courteous.
